Hard to watch, Mar 16 2010

Isn't the cover art fantastic. "Metropolis" is just one of those films you have to watch, it is hard to watch, because it is black and white, the film has deteriorated and as it is silent the sub titles are in German and it has that really bad silent movie music. However Metropolis was a film with so much sophistication for its time and was responsible for launching the technohorror genre.
"Things To Come" is hard to watch because in some ways it might have happened. I found it not scary, but uncomfortable to watch, maybe because humanity is always on the edge of falling apart. You may think I'm giving both a bad review, but on the contrary I think both films are excellent and deserve a watch every now and then.
