If you have the money and are a fan, then this collection along with The Complete Recordings for TTT & RoTK are worth investing in. You get every piece of music and score written for the films, Extended Editions, and what I think is the best part, you get a nice little booklet that has a complete annotation track by track, musicians, instruments, themes, random factual information about recordings, all beautifully designed by Peter Jack and his team. Howard Shore is fantastic, enjoy.

Thoroughly enjoying this music and understanding more about the vision behind this incedible series of movies, in an auditory manner. Would highly recommend it.

I liked the CD released for the movie, but I was disappointed by how much was missing. This edition is amazing! I primarily bought it for the full recording of 'The Passing of the Elves', and that is still my favourite track, but the rest of it is really good too.
