The first time i saw it i was disappointed, it just wasn't as much fun as the show. But, after watching it again i enjoyed it much more.

I purchased this product to watch it in Blu-ray. In the case I received a Blu-Ray, DVD, Digital Copy, and UltraViolet. I have watched the Blu-Ray. The case is a steel book with special artwork featuring an image with some of the main characters from the television series and film. The film is directed by Joss Whedon. He is also the person who created the television show. The film discs have bonus features, including directors commentary and a digital tour of the spaceship Serenity. This spaceship is featured in the television show and move. At this point, I have only viewed the Blu-Ray and have yet to look into the special features. In Canada, this film is rated 14A. Serenity is a Universal Studios production.

Its nice to have both DVD and Bluray..... BUT the Digital Copy is not even the quality of a pirated version of the video.

its a 1.76 GIG download that looks worse than dvd quality and audio quality is horrid.

Not only that, I tried getting the WMV version and it didnt work.

SO i was forced to install I-tunes, Create an Account, then give them my address, and all this stuff I didnt want to do to get a really low quality file. I was atleast hoping for something good since its legit.

Digital Copy is a joke. Its easier to Pirate then downsample if you need to save space for a mobile device.
The whole legit process is horrible.
Why dont I just convert my Blueray to a High Quality AVI instead?

NEVERTHELESS

Bluray shines like a bird on my monitor. I love BluRay..
The movie is great I liked it.
Pirated DVDs and Blurays do not deliver the same quality as Purchased from store.(unless obviously the digital copy)
If your gonna pay lots for a fancy 1080p equipment and awsome sound system you need legit stuff to maximize your quality.

i'm not sure, but it think this movie may be related to the TV
series,Firefly or at least have a similar style.if that's the case,it
would probably be better to be familiar with the show before watching
the movie.i have not seen the show,so that may explain why i didn't get
the movie.or not.anyway,i don't think Serenity is a bad movie.in fact,i
think it's well done.it looks great, and there are some amazing fight
sequences.nevertheless,i couldn't follow it.the dialogue was
different, sort what i would expect to hear during the Civil War era or
in the old west.so, some of the things they talked about,i wasn't quite
sure what they meant or what context to put things in.anyway, this movie
wasn't really my bag,but i think fans of Firefly and a lot of general
science fiction fans will enjoy it.for me,even though it's not my cup
of tea,i'd still have to give Serenity a 3/5,because it is so well
done.but that's just my opinion.

If are wanting to pick this up because you think it has the extra footage cut into the movie then don't buy it. I picked it up the other weekend thinking it is an extended cut version of the movie but it isn't. there is a CD with all the extra stuff on it. I loved the movie its self and give it a 5 star but was disappointed that the collection DVD didn't have the extra footage cut back into the movie.

The movie is pretty much based on the Firefly TV show which I never followed. It's a nice mix of western and spaceships with jokes that I actually laughed and some pretty decent action scenes. Can't complain about the CG kinda reminds me of the new Battlestar Galactica and Babylon 5.
I went to see it at the theatres with a very low expectation but in the end I really enjoyed it. The movie flows quite nicely but quite dissapointing about the ending. That's why I gave it 3 stars not 4.
