Ce commentaire est de: Portrait Of The Artist As A Yo (Audio CD)
Ram Jam, as everyone knows, is the band behind the timeless rock hit "Black Betty", which was on their first album. But what most of the people doesn't know is that they recorded another really great album the following year before disappearing. This album, "Portrait..." never had the success its predecessor had, which, in fact, caused the break-up of the band, but in reality, it was ten times better. It rocks. And this new cd remaster, by Rock Candy, is awesome. It has a killer sound. Guitarist Jimmy Santoro is a forgotten rock hero. His riffs in "Turnpike" and "Hurricane Ride" are amazing, pure high-octane rock and roll guitar. He really was as good as Joe Perry or Ace Frehley. This album has been confined to an underground classic status, and it is still the case, but now, a new generation can hear it on cd, and it's fantastic. If you love big rock and roll from the seventies, have this one, you'll never regret it. |
