ANGIE IS NOT ONLY A ROLLING STONES BALLAD, Oct 22 2006

If you are compilling the tv cop series of the seventies,many of you will forget POLICE WOMAN among their list and this is probably unfair, because at least in it's first year the show was excellent.No,ANGIE DICKINSON(PEPPER) was not the first lady cop on tv:remember BARBARA ANDERSON in IRONSIDE.However,she was the first actress to have a more than supporting cop role in a major show.The show dealt with subjects that were still taboo in 1974(gay women,porno movies,child selling etc.)Many guest stars like BOB CRANE,SMOKEY ROBINSON,WILLIAM SHATNER,JOHN VERNON,ROBERT VAUGHN,LARRY HAGMAN among others add to the fun.EARL HOLLIMAN(SERGEANT CROWLEY) and ANGIE work well together.Don't hesitate to buy POLICE WOMAN,you should enjoy it if like me you did not watch it back in 1974.
