Hilaruous. Action packed full of great performances. Ash meets the American revolt ., Sep 15 2009
This review is from: Jack of All Trades: The Complete Series (DVD)
Jack of all Trades is an excellent, hilarious, action packed thrill ride. Every episode was great and full originality. Bruce Campbell as Jack Stiles aka The daring Dragoon, Angela Marie Dotchin as Mrs. Emilia Smythe Rothschild. Stuart Devenie as Governor Croque. Stephen Papps as Captain Brogard and Special apperance bt Verne Troyer as Napoleon Bonaparte. Everybody played a crucial role to the series but Bruce Campbell shined with all his one liners and chesse factor. Bruce campbell is awesome in everything he does, its just the scripts he is given and the budget that take him down a notch with big time studios and up tight critics that dissect every little detail. It is just entertainment, here for your enjoyment. Nothing more nothing less. But iam going of the topic. Jack of all Trades mixes history with fantasy, Slapstick wit sexual innuendo's, Attraction and restraint, Partnership and love and Great chemistry between the entire cast. Historical figures pop up now and then, which makes it entertaining but not historical accurate. The entire series is 22 episodes and should of never been canceled. The show had so much potential and dedicated actors that love the craft of true artistry. Jack Stiles (American spy/hero) and Emilia Smythe (British spy/inventor) are terrific and have amazing chemistry together. I don't want to give anything away but there is a love connection. But they were just undercover spies working together on the tiny South Pacific island of Polau Polau to stop the advances of the French Emperor, Napoleon Bonaparte and stop his reign of terror and supremacy. Every episode had a different perdicument and problem that Jack Stiles and Emilia Rothschild must face to prevent the ruling of the french army. The show is often silly and groovy but the premise is fun and it is a comedy. there is plently of swordplay, pirates, adventures, sexual enconters, ships, mystical places, tropical beaches. hot and sultry women, crazy polticians, stuff cows (Mr. Nipples), blackbeard, an episode with S and M and Bruce Campbell. What more could you want. I rate the show 9 out 10 and HIGHLY recommend to any Bruce Campbell fan. I just wish he would of said "give me some sugar baby" to Emilia and prociamed his love towards her. It was obvious there was attraction between the both of them. But sadily the show was canceled and never got to that point. It is a shame but I recommend buying it and relive the hilarity of JACK OF ALL TRADES.

I loved it from the first episode. You can't help but smile all the way through the series; really fun to watch.
My only problem was that it was canceled before it was given a real chance to make it "big". But you get a good taste of it in this series and it does leave you for wanting more. A real Bruce Campbell Fan show; if you love Bruce, you will love this.
