This review is from: Enchanted Arms (Video Game)
'Enchated Arms', one of the few RPGs out there for the 360, is just an OK game. The game looks nice, but it plays linear, you can only walk (or run) the path that is presented to you. In a world of Elder Scrolls Oblivion, and it's open world, this game lacks it, but with lots of walking still, although its on paths, the game is still very nice looking. It follows the mysterious life of Atsuma, well part of it, he has a weird arm with a mind of its own sometimes. With the re-awakening of the Ice Witch, Atsuma must save the world with the help of his friends, or with the aid of caputred golems, almost like Pokemon. There isn't a whole lot of character evolution, you either learn new attacks once in a while or buy them. Leveling-up isn't as important as buying or attaining attributes to the game, although you want to get your characters topped out on attack. The golems are fun to play as, you can get a wide range of those creatures, level them up, get them strong, however, your prime characters are better then any monsters, they are all parts of the puzzle that make for a strong party. The rare golems are strong but their VP is not very impressive. VP or vitality points are subtracted when you're attacked or run away. When in battle the game is reminscent of Final Fantasy turn-based attacks.
All-in-all this is a fun game to play, it's not very addictive, with all the travelling in a linear world will get you pretty bored with the gaming. But if you need a RPG fix up until something better comes along this game will do, if Oblivion isn't doing much for you and you want to play party RPGs.
