I never really got into Billy Talent until I heard "River Below" from the first album...songs like that and the follow-up single, "Nothing To Lose" spoke to me...I went out, bought the album, and was blown away!

My immediate reaction to this album was exactly the same...there is a difference...with the first album you could pick out other potential singles. With this album, you can't because every song is "single-worthy", making this album a five-star album, and a must own for any fan of music.

The precedent album took me by suprise. It was like a wave of energy crashing in my face! Now this album is less of a suprise, we know who Billy Talent are and what the deal is. Still, even if its less suprising, I find that the new album is the kind of album that grows on you and that gets better with every listen. I'm sure that by next week this album will be among my summer favorites.

This Canadian group will impress you again with this new album. Great lyrics, great beats, this CD will make you crank up the volume. A bit less original as the first one, but good continuity! Excellent!

I don't understand why they were never accepted in the beginning when all they are trying to do is represent for Canada and represent their music in a whole new way. Seriously, everyone in punk or alternative are beginning to sound the same, but no one will ever sound like Billy Talent. This is an awesome follow up from their debut album (which you can expect to impress). PS; the artwork in the album book are amazing and gives a glimpse into their thought-provoking and striking lyrics. Buy it and support Billy Talent!

Every once in a while a band/album catches your attention, it hooks you and you can't get enough of it. Billy Talent with their first album did just that to me...an awesome collection of hard driving rock songs.

Billy Talent II literally has had the same effect on me. This is truly an amazing example of a thoroughly good dose of rock'n roll... as simple as that. Each of the band members are loaded with talent, it's their combined sound and catchy lyrics that hook you, but Ian's guitar work amazes the senses. The songs quickly grow on you and you will get hooked. You might even find yourself cranking up the volume in the car and singing out loud to any one of Fallen Leaves, Worker Bees, Red Flag or Burn The Evidence like there anthems or something.

Like the first album, I expect this one to be a classic.

This is a band folks... and this is an amazing rock album.

If you love to rock, buy the album and you definitly will.

Alright, so I know awesomeness isn't exactly a word. But it is what I use to describe Billy Talent's Sophmore album. While this one is less "in-your-face" as their first release, it is still very much the same Billy Talent we've come to know. The song writing is fantastic (much like the first one), the instrumentals - also awesome (esp. Jon Gallant's bass lines, they are sooo good and so much more powerful this time around). Seeing this album preformed live prior to its' release (back in April) I knew I was getting a more mature version of Billy and I have to say, I love it just as much - if not more - than the first. Kudos to the band - Aaron, Ben, Ian & Jon - on a excellent, excellent job.

I really wasn't much of a Billy Talent fan until I heard this album. Now, I'm hooked! Ben has really taken it down a notch and traded screeching for actual singing, which is great 'cause he really has a beautiful voice. He also writes great lyrics, and Ian's guitar arrangments are nothing short of amazing. "Red flag", "Fallen leaves", "Surrender" and "Perfect world" are my favourites, but the whole album holds itself together great. Can't wait for the next one!

The band Billy Talent is probably the idols of most people that want to have platinum hits and adoring fans like they have. This new CD they have added to their already amazing collection of punk rock genius. The CD talks a lot about world issues and/or personal issues that peoeple might be facing everybody and expressing that through their wonderful their music and lyrics. Ian(bass,vocal) is amazing on the guitar and Ben has never sounded so good like he nearly perfected his voice to tune out some amazing and unforgettable songs. My favorite song and anybody should download this is "Fallen Leaves" where Ian cranks some of his best guitar stringing compared to anything of the other songs and you can feel the lyrics when Ben starts singing but I know it is a joint effort and they really make it amazing. Good job to Billy Talent and really I can't wait for the next CD.

Iv'e pre-listened to this album about a month before it was supposed to be released. This album is amazing! It may not compare to their first, but Billy Talent really does it again.

Toronto based alternative/punk band is back with another great album. Billy Talent guitarist Ian D'Sa was reported as saying how hard it is to follow up a great album and how much pressure this can put on a band to release a second album. They took their time to try and produce a sequel that was original and just as good as the previous. They have certainly done well with the music and as for the physical album itself, it is beuatifully packaged. The original artwork and photography done for BTII is definitely worth a view. Here is a quick song by song review for each song:

1~Devil in a midnight Mass-(5/5) a great cd starter! definitely gets in your head.

2~Red Flag-(5/5)-Diferent version tan the one leaked last year. "we dont need them" behind the melody at the end of the song is awesome.

3~This Suffering-(4.5/5)cool song! reminiscent of system of a down, along with previously released songs like "river below"

4~Worker Bees-(5/5)awesome marching groove. nice harmony for sure.

5~Pins and Needles-(4.5/5) nice to hear the quieter side of Billy Talent.

6~Fallen Leaves-(6/5)!!! Favorite track on the cd. you will definitely find yourself singin this one in the shower!

7~Where is the line- (4/5)Not my fave. maybe it will grow on me...i find it a bit raw.

8~Covered in cowardice- (4.5/5)cool harmony. nice vocal dynamic range.

9~Surrender- (5/5)quieter again, but a great song. drums keep the song going very well during the verses.

10~Navy Song- (4.5/5) Really like the guitars in this song. New for BT.

11~Perfect World- (5/5) great lyrics. head bangin' for sure.

12~Sympathy- (5/5) Great guitars on this track. love the descent in "okay its not okay" like parts!

13~Burn The Evidence- (5/5) great song! nice pick to end the cd.

At any rate, the cd is great. There is more of a style variation than on the previous cd. Harmony has really picked up. Generally, it is more smooth and solid than their debut album. Great job guys! Keep it up...
