If your a fan of this award-winning series, then this set should be a no brainer. Good extras, and the full series in one place.

This series is amazing. One of the best political dramas ever created. Martin Sheen plays an awesome president. But don't spend your money on this box set. At its current price tag, it is more thrifty to buy each season individually on Amazon. The box set is currently priced at $262.47. Buying the seasons individually will only cost $112.

When my wife and I decided to purchase the complete set just over 4 years ago, we believed it would be a pleasant relief from the three times we had tried to watch it on regular TV. We were getting more and more frustrated with all the commercials we had to put up with. Even after we had bought our first PVR we still had to zip through the 3, 4, or 5 minute series of mindless commercial.

In the first year after we had received our Complete Series Collection, we watched it three times. My wife is a retired librarian and I am a retired College Communications teacher; we still pause the PVR quite often to comment on the writing, continuity and all the fantastic attention to detail. After having watched the entire collection more than 10 times, (we're in year 3 right now)we never tire of it.

Here we are more than a decade after original TV airing and it's still just as topical and on the mark as it was the first time around.

By the way,if we start to notice any breaking up of the picture on any one of the discs, I just rub the disc with a soft white eraser(no abrasives) then wash it gently with dish soap, pat it dry and it works every time.

One word of warning; this series can become very addicting; try to limit viewing of the Complete Collection to no more than three times in any calendar year (well maybe allow a fourth viewing every election year!!!). ENJOY! !

Great service and great product. I was surprised that it only took a few days for the DVD set to reach my door. I was expecting it to take over a week! And the DVD set was in immaculate condition as promised. Thanks Amazon! Keep up the great work.

I bought this for my husband...he was super surprised and loved it..he almost cried when he opened it for christmas....he' really enjoying watching it..he used to love West Wing when it played on tv and every once in a while he would still talk about certain episodes...well it turns out there were episodes he doesnt remember seeing so he gets super excited when he realizes that he doesnt know what happens next...hes like a little kid...and he especially loves the bonus stuff on the discs...i highly recommend the West Wing full series:)

My title says it all. The series is great, but we're half way through the first season and each disc has had some little glitch we've had to contend with. It's a disappointment that the manufacturer would produce such poor quality.

I was really looking forward to this set - West Wing is by far one of the better programs ever to have appeared on TV. But this set has a lot of problems - specifically that crucial episodes are completely unwatchable due to manufacture defects on the discs (this includes the entire last disc of the first season meaning that the cliffhanger finale is something that you won't be able to watch). I haven't gone through all 54 discs yet, so I can't say for sure if it's only the 1st season that has these issues, but be aware of this before purchasing - it's a lot of money to spend on something that doesn't work.

If not for the problems with the discs, I would have given this set 5 of 5 stars. Really it's a shame.

the exterior condition of the item is good, however, at least two of the discs won't work bc they are damaged (mostly by scratching inside the envelope and glue) - this is probably a manufacturer's issue, but heads up on that. Also, it was shipped from china which I would have liked to know beforehand for various reasons. And finally, the item was delivered more than a week later than the latest anticipated delivery date.

When I saw the amazing price for the entire series, I couldn't resist it. The box set arrived within a week, shrinkwrapped and in excellent condition. Unfortunately it won't play in either my TV/DVD combo machine (I will NEVER buy one of those again, and I do not recommend anyone else buying one) or my stand alone dvd player(which is very old), but it does play on my macbook. I trust this seller advertised accurately what he had to sell and shipped quickly and efficiently. I would buy again.

This was a wonderful purchase. It was in perfect condition, it came fast - before it was even supposed to arrive! Nothing was wrong with any of the disks. It is amazing..and of course the show is the best!
