I search far and wide for this game and when I came across this deal I couldn't believe it. Most stores are charging 15 dollars for just one of these games. This is a great deal, And on top of that these games are some of the best strategy experiences i have ever had. They might be dated graphically but for that price and the engaging game play you cant go wrong.

How come there is no in-game music in AoE 2 and the conquerors?? I really like the music, and I tried adjusting it in options and nothing happened. But the soundtrack that comes with this works. Someone please help, I really love the music.

If you have never played the original real time strategy games, you have issues. These games are fantastic even by today's standards. Keep in mind that I have and play my fully functional Atari 2600, N.E.S. and Sega Genesis more than any newer consoles. With that said, the AOE games are from an era gone by so, to not have the same issues I did, turn off the direct draw option in your directX so as the games will be fully functional. Without doing this, you will not be able to use "diplomacy"(I do mostly just destroy but certain campaigns depend on it) and may have issues saving/loading games.

This is the most excellent game i have ever played because of its sound and image. I really like it and thanks for publishing

Yes its retro, yes the A.I. is pretty pathetic by today's standards... but it won't freeze the heck out of your computer!! Its still a fun game, you can still play online with your buddies. The variety of armies you can command and the variety of "real world" and other maps you have to fight on is fantastic! Great trainer for someone who hasn't played this type of game before! Its just plain fun!

Age of Empires is a classic. Blending both strategy and historical accuracy into an overall fun campaign experience. The real fun is in the player versus player, or co-op versus AI modes. Builds resources quickly, and dominate the maps with friends. There's also a map editor for those who like to create their own legends. A well developed game without glitches.

I can remember when I first played this game. A friend had the demo and from then on I was hooked on the series. Resource management, military strategy, (questionable) but fun voice work, and a good way to burn some time. This series has been a paramount part in my development as an RTS player. The nostalgia and the goofy smile (I probably get) when I play it means this series has and will have an everlasting effect on me.

I always wanted this game since I was a kid, only way I could get it was through stupid game clients like Steam, so this was an amazing choice, only $7 and it came with a physical disk, rare this is now-a-days, I would recommend everyone to buy it on Amazon, very inexpensive , and I got the game in record time, 3 weeks before the expected delivery date, and it was in amazing condition.

I love these games and they are easy to install and get multiplayer working. still tons of maps all over the web to try and play. lots of help as well getting this game to run windowed if it crashes to desktop on start up because it doesn't support widescreen.
