I was fed up with changing batteries in watches and considered simply buying a cheap watch whenever the battery died. Trouble is, cheap watches look cheap so i decided to try a decent automatic watch and found this for a good price.

For the first week I was rather disappointed because it kept stopping in the middle of the night. To cut a long story short, you cannot wind this watch manually, all you need do is put it on your wrist and rotate your wrist about 100 times. Since I did that the watch has never stopped. I am very pleased with the watch. It looks good on my narrow wrist, keeps good time and best of all I will never get ripped off by jewellery stores charging too much to replace a battery.

As others have said, the only improvement would be to provide instructions that relate specifically to this model.

Great watch for the price! Really like the watch and would recommend it to anybody who likes automatic watches. Good starter model.

I just purchased this watch and I love it. It is well looking and perfectly suitable for any kind of clothes.

Pros:
- Very affordable automatic watch
- Comfortable to wear
- Easy to read time
- Good water resistance when washing hands or taking a shower

Cons:
- I have a hard time setting the time precisely. The second hand moves even when the crown is pulled out so I have to hold the crown in place until it stops moving and then wait for my digital time source to reach that second before synchronizing
- Dials have some luminosity, but it's not that great

Great little automatic for $65. Love the size and the color - a classic. I thought I'd change the strap as soon as I received the watch but it seems to work so I'll wait. I'm surprised how heavy the watch really is.

This watch will never need to have the battery replaced because it charges off the movement of your wrist. Best Millitary watch you will ever own

Exactly what I expected. Excellent quality. Light, easy read. Can wear it with anything. Received it in less than a week. Very good price.

I bought this watch a while ago and I am very pleased with it. It has been about 12 seconds fast every day which is decent for an automatic watch in this price range. It is also very robust. It is my "beater" watch and has taken quite a bit of abuse but it keeps ticking.

Update April 26: Watch is broken. It apparently doesn't take as much abuse as I thought. I am sure it would have been fine as a regular watch so I won't downgrade the star rating. It was dropped multiple times, chips in the glass and dents in the case and it finally died.

Seiko 5, movement 7S26C, self-winding, made in Malaysia

Pros:
1. Nice, simple looking,
2. Automatic winding
3. Easy to read time
Cons:
1. Drifts behind for about 20-25 sec a day,
2. Dial window is prone to scratching, despite of being of mineral type

Want to return or send for repair. Not decided yet. Anyway, from Seiko I didn’t expect such poor quality.

A nice looking watch...everything we expected, except hard to see the hand positions at night. And being manual, you have to set the Day/date.
