This series is an immaculate collection of rare sights throughout the world. With David Attenborough's perfect narration, the Planet Earth crew takes us to places where we can never visit. Viewers would be stunned by the majestic sceneries, beautiful or bizarre. Moreover, the combination of a great soundtrack and David Attenborough's voice creates a story-like atmosphere for this nature film. Everyone would appreciate the immense amount of effort being put into this production. This series is worth every penny!

Watching and owning this set of DVDs gives me such a sense of fulfilment and pride. Pride as a Christian; these programs capture the species and colours of the world that reflect their creation by a power far greater than any science fiction movie will ever demonstrate. The usefulness of this product will last as long as children will ask questions. Although watching these DVDs from my Canadian home, pride as a reflection of British quality film making. Yes, I know Discovery Channel was involved but the fact that the BBC, and David Attenborough (Bless him!), have produced such a quality piece of work that is absolutely world class shows how modern entertainment doesn't have to be conceived in Hollywood. When you watch this invite the neighbours round so they don't complain about the volume of the perfectly matched music!

Most obviously a good investment! Educational for both younger and older audiences, with amazing cimeatography and the "comics" of David Attenborough. Everyone should be forced to watch this series as with the declining status of our earth, we need to all learn to apprechiate our blue planet more.

Fantastic series, beautifully shot, a must have for any human being on the planet. Some scenes take your breath away and some make you stand up and scream. AMAZING!!!

This video set is simply incredible and I'd recommend it to everyone. The scenes are amazing, and it truly makes you realize how incredible and diverse our world is.

the production value, the quality & the sheer scale of this doc were incredible, its worth all 9hrs, you really get hooked, & in the end it creates great environmetal awareness.

Viewing this DVD is like seeing the world through the eyes of a child again. Fascinating. Enthralling. Captivating. We realize how little we really do know about the world around us, and yearn to know more. Extraordinary film.

BBC and Attenborough - immediately it bespeaks QUALITY! and here one could exhaust their vocabulary of superlatives.

It's barely possible and highly unlikely that anyone will be able to equal the magnificence of stunning scene after scene presented here! Not even the many people who created this!

Another viewer mentioned the breath-taking segment on the snow leopards, their luxuriant fur almost comes out of the screen at you like 3D.

If your budget necessitates sacrificing something else to purchase this - make the sacrifice and reward yourself and your loved ones with something they will want to see again and again.

This BBC DVD is amazing.
Having watched the series on TV it's even better now I've watched the extras on how they got the footage.

This is spectacular! This would be worth 3 times the price. You'll see things you have never seen before.
