I love Jamie Lee Curtis and Tim Allen so it was something I had to see. I quite enjoyed it and will watch it every year.

There are many Christmas themed films that fall flat. This movie with its blend of humour offers the viewer sufficient laughs and decent entertainment during the holiday season. It is one of three Christmas movies that I enjoy each year, the other two being Noel with Susan Sarandon, and The Polar Express.

fun to watch at christmas time. Everyone has thought of just letting christmas pass since it is so much work but it is always more fun to celebrate it in a big way. Funny to watch them try to put it all together last minute.

Love this feature...its full of Christmas fun! Very quickly becoming a Christmas classic for me! Its a great holiday movie that embodies most of the Christmas traditions of a typical North American family with a really funny spin! ;-)Cheers!

Tim at his best,

This movie is a must see if you have seen all the Santa Clause movies then you have to see this one.Tim plays a modern day Scrooge,by cancelling Christmas festivities with the local friends and neighbors to take a cruise. All this in light of their daughter going out of town.Neighbors though have other plans, and try to get Tim involved in the local neighborly festivities. Needless to say after countless attempts by friends and neighbors Tim finally wins.An unexpected phone call is received, their daughter plans on returning home for the holidays with a friend. Tim is totally not impressed and Jamie is so excited, she tells him that the trip is off. Tim races all over creation in order to find all the suitable fixings in order to make their daughters home coming memorable, and at the same time takes a kicking both from mother nature and from local neighbors for being such a bah humbug...!

Not the book...,

Christmas with the Kranks is a poor, obnoxious cousin of John Grisham's book Skipping Christmas. Grisham's heartwarming characters become caricatures who resort to slapstick for cheap laughts. I was disappointed with the treatment of this lovely novel...However, my husband, who hadn't read the book, found the movie funny.

my sister and i just watched this movie yesterday,so i thought i wouldput in my two sense.she liked it more than i did.i didn't think it was very funny.in fact,i never laughed once.but i did think it was passable entertainment, for the most part.a few times i did get bored though.i just found it hard to believe that the people on one street in town would go to so much trouble to make one family celebrate Christmas.and for me,i didn't fee any chemistry between Tim Allen and Jamie Lee Curtis, who played the husband and wife who decided to skip Christmas this year.Dan Akroyd played the neighbour who had the most influence in town, and tried to get the Cranks(Allen and Curtis)to celebrate the season.mostly i just found him annoying.M.Emmet Walsh was in the movie, and i liked his character.anyway, overall,i'd say this is a movie to catch on cable or as a cheap rental.interestingly, this movie is based on a John Grisham novel, called Skipping Christmas.anyway,my vote is a 2/5

This is a Must-See movie. It is the perfect balance of a feel good holiday movie and a hilarios comedy. The cast is great and the story line is genius. All in all the movie is down-right gut-busting!!!! If you don't own it you have too. This is on holiday movie you won't easily forget!! :)

What a bad way to ruin a great book by John Grisham. This movie takes sarcasim too far, and is not even funny. it's a waste of time and money.
