5.0 out of 5 stars release this movie in screenwide format on dvd
i have been a major fan of this movie since it was first released.it pops up on tv periodically. ive noticed that a lot of forgotten classics from the 60's 70's & 80's are being released on dvd. hopefully someone will get the message and release this classic biker movie. lance hendrickson is great. he makes this movie.

3.0 out of 5 stars Much better than i thought it would be (worth the 2 hours)
this is a surprisingly entertaining movie.it won't win any awards for
originality.this plot line has been used several times, sometimes to
better effect,sometimes not.as a matter of fact,Charlie Sheen would
star in pretty much the same movie,Beyond the Law,one year
later(1992).both are comparable efforts.any way,in Stone Cold Brian
Bosworth,an ex...

4.0 out of 5 stars HOW ABOUT A DVD RELEASE?!?!?!, Mar 21 2005

Totally love this movie. Minimal 'plot', sure, but lots of fun anyway.
I've been waiting and waiting and WAITING for it to be released on DVD, but so far, nothing (along with "The Final Option", "The Park Is Mine", "Nasty Boys" [tv series] and a 'special edition' of "The Warriors")
You'd think that with all of the USELESS stuff they release on DVD, they'd find the time to release some of these 'hidden gems'.
Oh well, I guess I'll just have to keep on waiting.
If you can only find a VHS copy of this movie, or can only rent it, do so. It's totally worth it.

Bosworth,an ex football player, takes on the role of of the undercover
cop.He does a surprisingly admirable job.it's strange that his film
career didn't take off,as his acting ability equals(probably surpasses)
that of Stallone and Shwarzennegger when they started out.He is
certainly better than Van Damme.Lance Henrickson is well cast as the
chief bad guy in the film.action abounds in this movie, leaving pretty
much no dramatic moments.of course in most movies of this type, there is
zero character development, but that can be forgiven in this case.the
movie knows what it is and doesn't try to be something it's not.it is
pure fun.oh,yeah,i almost forgot.William Forsythe also plays a baddie
and is brilliant as always.this is definitely a great way to entertain
yourself for 2 hours. 3/5

5.0 out of 5 stars Definitely worth it!, Jun 25 2004
This review is from: Stone Cold (VHS Tape)
Have always loved this movie... a VERY under rated action movie! Lance Henriksen as chains is absolutely perfect!

I used to have this movie on tape and wore the thing out... so when is it coming out on DVD!?!?!

5.0 out of 5 stars stone cold, Feb 16 2004
This review is from: Stone Cold (VHS Tape)
Trashy five star entertainment at it's best. Brian Bosworth may look like a well groomed Labrador, but he can do the action man gig as good as Arnie and Bruce etc.
It is good to have Hells Angels portrayed as villians for a change; because in real life they are seriously scary. Lance Henrikson is perfect as a laid bike pyscho;with a seriously short fuse!
The last ten minutes has to been to believed.
As I could not get this on DVD I had to settle for a VHS copy from an pawn shop!( it is longed deleted in the UK as well as the US)

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best direct-to-video action movies, Jan 5 2004

This review is from: Stone Cold (VHS Tape)
Stone Cold is actually good if brawn over brains is what you look for in an action movie and those who like their violence thick and fast with a healthy amount of one-liners will love it.

All of the movie is over-the-top, and moves from start to finish very quickly without much time for a breather in-between various action sequences. Essentially the plot revolves around our hero detective who is a bit more brutal than most and who is given the task of infiltrating a rather nasty biker-terror squad who are involved in terrorism. So you get to see the cop do lots of bad things so he can join the group and then he does lots of bad things to them when he is on the inside. It is fun, far-fetched action all the way. Guys get shot and fly through the air. Everything gets blown up!

Just watch this film and enjoy it for what it is - high-adrenaline action that never takes itself too seriously. Good fun!

5.0 out of 5 stars Where is this movie on DVD?, Dec 2 2003
By
This review is from: Stone Cold (VHS Tape)
I agree with all the previous reviews.....but where is this movie on DVD? Are the distributors playing games like they did with the release of Near Dark? With so many unknown movies being put on disc, where is this one? Brian Bosworth needs to have all his movies put on DVD.
