Different and very, very, very good, Nov 15 2009

With Ballett 3, German electronic music legend Klaus Schulze takes us on a journey to the fragility of life and the greatness of the human soul. My Thy She is a gorgeous piece of electronic music that spans over 76 minutes. Schulze alternates vocal, instrumental and vocal-instrumental dialogues almost throughout the whole track. You will love the richness of the textures, the rolling bass sounds, the angel-like voice of female singer Julia Messenger, the musicianship of the guests, the estheticism of the whole and even the metronomical play of Schulze on drums.
The only downside is the bonus track at the end: the three and a half minute piece is of a very different nature and has the effect of a bull entering a china shop. But My Thy She is well-worth the price of the album. I suggest you reverse the order of the tracks when you listen to it or skip track 2 altogheter and just let yourself be surrounded by the main track. Strongly recommended for those who enjoy lengthy pieces of music of majestic beauty and who appreciate progressive electronic music with a different touch that definitely sounds fresh (cello, oboe, Eastern influences, etc.). Yes, different and very, very, very good.
