A little corny, April 3 2008
This review is from: Carry On (Audio CD)
Just started listening to Chris and have to say I think this album is a little corny, it's OK but not a lot more than that. I think the earlier Euphoria Morning is a lot better. But if you really want to hear this guy sing listen to him "Unplugged in Sweden" his singing and playing on that performance are simply unbelievable!!

pretty bad, Nov 2 2007

i bought this thinking it might gather styles from Euphoria, Audioslave and some other stuff....oh man, i haven't enjoyed this at all. I've listened to it a couple of times and cannot say that I enjoy a single tune...i wouldn't recommend this to anyone who expects Euphoria sort of material.

ho-hum, Jun 8 2007
This review is from: Carry On (Audio CD)
I've always been a fan of Cornell when he's in a group. But both his solo albums (including this one) are bland. There a few flashes of greatness, but you'll find yourself fast forwarding through over half the album and just listening to 4-5 tracks.

Fantastic, Jun 7 2007
This review is from: Carry On (Audio CD)
This might not be very objective because I am a huge Chris Cornell fan, from Soundgarden to Audioslave and Temple of the Dog, but this is a truly wonderful record. Better than Euphoria Morning in my opinion; more energic and lively, with fantastic guitar arrangements and Chris' usual breathtaking vocals and great songwriting. The cover of "Billie Jean" is very impressive and so is Casino Royale's "You know my name", but every track is worth listening to. Enjoy!

Carry On soars!! Chris Cornell shines with this album!!, Jun 6 2007
This review is from: Carry On (Audio CD)
Chris Cornell shines with this album. The best tracks on this album are "No Such Thing" and "You Know My Name" from the movie, Casino Royale. Cornell has delivered an impressive second album and this album is an absolute must for fans of both Soundgarden and Audioslave. One of the best albums of the year!!
