Not Bad for the price, May 11 2010
This review is from: Looney Tunes Golden Collection Volume 5 (DVD)
3 stars for trying,
Well, having got this for Xmas, I can't complain about the price. For the "Looney Tunes die hard" this would be ideal. However I love the Chuck Jones Classics, etc that I grew up with during the late 60's early 70's. Disc 1 and 2 are excellent in this respect, as there are only a few stinkers thrown in. Disc 3 and 4 (mostly old B&W ones) in my opinion are only good for coasters, provided you care about your coffee table that is. The fast fwd on the remote worked well for me for these ones. Gaaak!
I hear I am getting Vol. 6 for fathers day, so I'm hopping for some more Classics, but don't hold my breath, as I believe the gravy has already been released on the first 5 sets, but one can only hope.
Bottom line, if you are like me pick these up when discounted.
That's all folks

"RIP OFF PRICE", April 25 2009
This review is from: Looney Tunes Golden Collection Volume 5 (DVD)
THESE CARTOONS ARE GREAT. HOWEVER, THE PRICE IS CRIMINAL. WHAT CHILD COULD EVER AFFORD TO PAY THESE PRICES. LET ALONE ME A 50 YEAR OLD CHILD. $24.99 WOULD BE A FARE PRICE. NOT $80.00, THATS WAY TO MUCH. IF YOUR MADE OF MONEY BUY IT. OR FIRST CHECK EBAY PRICES. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. "CHEERS"
