Great spoof !, April 30 2012
This review is from: Casino Royale (40th Anniversary Edition) (DVD)
This is a very entertaining spoof of the spy genre...it's a comedy ! Those that are looking for the "real" James Bond 007, look elsewhere.

Ridiculous!, Jan 8 2012
This review is from: Casino Royale (40th Anniversary Edition) (DVD)
This is a very ridiculous movie. It wasn't even cheesy funny. TOTAL complete waste of money. Didn't need it to add to the Bond collection we have!

Don't confuse with Mr. Craig's 2006 reboot, Jan 13 2009
This review is from: Casino Royale (40th Anniversary Edition) (DVD)
If Daniel Craig's 2006 Casino Royale gave the franchise a kick up the backside, this 1967 'Bond' movie is a custard pie in the face. Try and enjoy it for what it is, and DON'T think of it as a proper Bond movie, because it is not, in any way shape or form. Peter Sellars, Woody Allen and David Niven ensure proceedings are never taken seriously. You can see where the idea for Austin Powers really came from - in a couple of scenes, almost directly.
