I've used mine on a number of occations and found it quite useful for decorating. Before I used to have to stop what I was doing and turn the cake myself but I found that this way I can keep the piping bag going while turning at the same time.

My experience with this product is that it does not turn as smoothly as I would have hoped, if I'm frosting a cake with just buttercream and not fondant, it does not produce the smooth, professional sides that you look for. I often find myself not even bothering to turn it and instead reaching around the cake which effectively makes this product redundant.
Also, after cleaning it, make absolutely sure that you've put it back together properly (even though its really only sort of sitting on the bearings and not truly secure) because it may come off of the track when you try to turn it, which is especially interesting when you're in the middle of adding delicate decoration to a cake....

It does the job and it's cheaper than other retail. Glad I bought it on amazon.ca + I received it within 2 business days!!
