5.0 out of 5 stars Adorable stories with tons of laughs
I love all 5 seasons of "That Girl" and own them on DVD. There are very few sitcoms that will make me laugh. Most of them these days are full of nothing but sarcasm towards each other. "That Girl" is a timeless piece of humor and season 4 had Ann traveling to Vegas, taking a job at a chicken restaurant, Vermont, and several other places. One of the...

2.0 out of 5 stars I don't get it
This season got Emmy's? I don't get it. IMO this is the worst season of all. Thomas was at her most insufferable and unbearable self. I learned to despise her this season. I'd love to know what the cast members thought of both Ann Marie and Thomas. Her meddling and her self-absorbed maniacal bubble-headedness was at its peak. Shoving her nose into everybody's business...

One of the things I liked about the show was the fact they shot lots of outdoor scenes. It really opens up the stories when they are filmed in the real world instead of all done on sound stages. Marlo Thomas is an amazing actress. I wish I knew her in person she is so bubbly and so charming in the "That Girl" show. I'm afraid in my life I have not met anyone so enthusiastic. Most people I know are complaining all of the time and are not happy unless everyone else is unhappy. To have a friend and know someone like Ann Marie would have been a true blessing. I have good friends, but none quite like That Girl! Her acting skills are the best in my opinion. She delivered her lines so realistically that one could not help believe the things in the sitcom weren't really a part of her and really happening. I went to see Marlo in January 2012 on Broadway. It's the first time in my life ever seeing her. I had a front row seat, and her performance was so good that I started crying when she was crying over her dead husband in the play. Everything she does is with so much commitment and grace. I'll always cherish my "That Girl" DVDs, and will watch them from start to finish again in a couple of years. I think this was truly one of the best sitcoms of the 1960s.

I'd love to know what the cast members thought of both Ann Marie and Thomas. Her meddling and her self-absorbed maniacal bubble-headedness was at its peak. Shoving her nose into everybody's business without being asked, jumping to unbelievable conclusions, demanding from others what she would never give to others. Afraid of everything, this female (I consider her a bratty, spoiled 5 year-old in a woman's body) bulldozer was the least attractive character in the show.
