This review is from: Who 1977 at Kilburn (DVD)
This DVD concert captures the essence of the band as it was in the mid 70's - complete with all the blemishes. The added bonus DVD of an earlier performance reveals how the band progressed over the years. A good concert DVD!

Two words.......................BUY IT!!!!Amazing sound with John Entwistle, Roger Daltrey, Keith Moon & Pete Townshend at their best (DVD1)! Keith Moon also on the DVD shows why he is still considered the WILDEST drummer who ever lived! The Kilburn 1977 concert was recorder & filmed masterfully! It almost sounds like you're listening to an LP! Remember that? :-) On DVD2 you watch the Who perform a concert in 1969! Oh my, the story tells it all from that era. Look at the way they were dressed and had their hair cut! Keith Moon asks Pete Townshend, "Why are you dressed like a plumber?"!!! Thanks!

A fantastic piece of work. It's great to get the perspective of The Who prior to Keith Moon's untimely departure from this earth. I also appreciate the rawness of the 1969 Concert, as well. The Tommy portion of the performance was stupendous. Well engineered and digitally re-mastered. A great collectors' item at an obscene price. Two thumbs up!

I love this DVD in Blu Ray. It is just mezmerizing! Just Buy it you will not regret it at all if you are a fan of their music. One of the last concerts where Keith Moon was mashing on the drums. Just unbelievable! It was a joy to watch.

Wish I Never Bought It --- Mostly For Collector's and Completists,

This review is from: Who 1977 at Kilburn (DVD)
I love the Who and own 3 other DVD's, all of which I like better than this. The 1977 Concert is well filmed and sounds good but the band's performance is well below their prime. The 1969 performance is terribly filmed (lighting and sound), but the band is great that night. The onstage banter between Pete and Keith is funny as well.Completists want everything the Who puts out, and Collectors want one of Keith's last shows and the first (almost) complete performance of Tommy. Both concerts have great song lists but I'd only recommend this DVD is it was much cheaper. I paid $20 at Wal-Mart, and wish I never bought it.
