Best Mouse,
This review is from: Logitech Marble Mouse (Personal Computers)
I bought this product on recommendation from a friend of mine, who had heard about my near constant tendinitis. She was concerned, fearing it would escalate into Carpal or Corporal tunnel in due time and thus she recommended the TrackMan Marble Mouse. I was unsure, as I had never so much as heard of a Trackball Mouse before, but I gave it a try.It arrived within a few days, very fast shipping, no hidden charges, and within one day I was already educated in my new mouse. It works wonderfully, and I've not had one bout of pain since I started using the Mouse. For anyone with RSI (repetitive stress injuries) in their wrist, forearm or shoulder, I highly recommend it. It is am ambidextrous mouse, meaning it's great and easily customizable for both right and left handed people. I doubt I'll ever go back to a normal mouse again. -K.G

This is my second track ball that I buy and it is always connected to my laptop. It is much more prices than a mouse and I use it for most of my vector based designing. It is very well built and the design works well for both right and left hands.

The marble mouse is superior to a conventional mouse in every way. I switched years ago and now when I use someone else's computer it is an exercise in annoyance as I cannot stand using a conventional mouse. The one I just purchased is a replacement - my previous Logitech marble mouse lasted seven years.

First off, I was a skeptic about trackball mice and already owned a Logitech MX400 laser mouse, which I still love for certain types of work, but after buying this mouse for someone else, I fell in love with it and ended up keeping it, since they never took to it. The trackball glides easily, the buttons are fully customizable with Logitech's software (I have mine mapped to scroll and document flip), it's simply a breeze to use/learn and does wonders for your wrists since you never have to move your hand or the mouse around (hence making the fact this mouse is corded a non-issue, unless you need something portable for a laptop) and this mouse naturally contours your hand over the buttons and trackball. Is this mouse for everyone, probably not, but if you're looking for something to help prevent wrist injuries, is a wonder to use and are willing to give something new a try, I see no reason why you shouldn't pick one of these up right away.

Love this "Mouse"!,

This is my second Logitech trackball of this design (the previous one gave out after 6 years of hard use and travel). I find the ball a great size, and I love the symmetrical design because I use it with my left hand - even though I am right-handed - to spread out the load on my body. I also find it amazing that I have no difficulty using it with my left hand even though I think of myself as a "left-hand klutz". I find the shape very comfortable to rest my hand on. The whole unit just "fits" me.It you are planning to use this for travel, I would keep the plastic part of the box it comes in, to rest the unit in while in a suitcase or carry-on and keep the pressure off the buttons. I think not doing that contributed to the demise of my previous unit. Thank you Amazon for carrying this product! I couldn't find it in any of my local computer stores - even though I live in Toronto!!

Not a good replacement,
This review is from: Logitech Marble Mouse (Personal Computers)
I was really hoping this would be a suitable replacement for my Trackball Explorer 1.0. Unfortunately it is not. Although the ball is a good size and easily rolls, the integrated scrolling using the right side button was not at all convenient. You have to turn the scroll on and then turn it off once you've reached the area you want to look at. As well, the ergonomic form actually put pressure up into the center of my palm making it feel tired and sore in a short period of time. I've returned this product and am on the watch for something better.

Before moving to Canada, I sold the trackball mouse that I used at work. Little did I know that I will be needing it here at work in Canada. I'm use to working with this mouse and the pain in my wrist has stopped. I highly recommend this mouse, although I know there are wireless ones now on the market. With this, I don't have to worry about any batteries going empty because I forgot to turn off my wireless mouse.
