Perfectly sweet mixed in with a touch of dark humor, Aoû 1 2009
Pushing Daisies is an absolutely sweet show that leaves the viewer with a smile after every episode. This refreshingly magical show is part murder mystery, part romance, part comedy and part fairy tale. The show centers around a pie maker named Ned who possesses the ability to bring the dead back to life, with just one touch, one more touch from Ned and they remain dead forever. However, the pie maker's gift comes with a catch, if he does not touch someone he has brought back to life again, before a minute has past, another person will die in their place. Ned uses his gift along side a local PI named Emerson Cod to solve murders. Things, however, become complicated when Ned decides to break the rules for his long lost childhood sweetheart, a girl named Chuck.
With an absolutely wonderful cast and episodes that never disappoint, I would defiantly recommend Pushing Daisies to anyone who wants to watch a show simply to feel good and all those who remember being a kid with fondness and don't mind a little dark humor mixed in.
This is the same review I used for the first season and the second season is no different. Every episode leaves you feeling good and with a smile on your face. My one and only problem with this season was that ABC felt the need to cancel such an amazing show so early. I myself had not even seen the show until one of the last episodes and immediately went out and purchased season 1 and as soon as it was released season 2. The final episode in this DVD collection is a quickly put together attempt at patching up all the little mysteries that made the show so interesting. It felt rushed and although it is still Pushing Daisies and still quite good I was disappointed. Although to be fair the disappointment stemmed mostly from the idea of never again seeing a new episode. I only hope that the show will be aloud to continue to shine on another network. The end of a show this good can only be described as a tragedy.

Excellent show, Sep 12 2009
Love this series, too bad it was canceled after just two seasons. For a show about death, it sure was a breathe of fresh air from all the reality shows.

Great Show, Sep 2 2009
Season one was original and season two holds up great. A wonderful show, which was pulled too soon. If you want to watch a creative, smart, funny, and clever show, Pushing Daisies is your ticket.
