Another fantastic entry in the pokemon series!I wouldn't recommend getting Diamond or Pearl if you purchase this one, since it's the improved third version.

Brand new product, still in the original plastic wrap - can't really critique a product in mint condition. Arrived very promptly as well. Have purchased from BEARDOS BAZAAR before, and would again. As for the game itself...I would assume anyone buying this would have some knowledge of Pokemon. Have not started the game yet - judging from Pokemon Diamond, it will be just as good as any "third release" game.

It's the average pokemon story, you start in a small town and go on to defeat the elite four. What I really enjoyed about this generation was all the things you can do after the elite four.

Plays just like the old Pokemons do.Start as either boy or girl, meet the professor and you start your exciting journey battle pokemons who are your other half. Unravel a mysterious story about the "Galactic" club. Introduces a beautiful new Pokemon Giratina. Extremely long game play, explore a huge town with your pokemon by your side. As an ode to the original.... Essentially Catch them all.

Let me start my saying that if you have avoided the pokemon series because it is a "kids game" do yourself a favor and give it a shot. These series of games have all been top notch, combining a happy go lucky attitude with an incredibly deep battle system. It may seem simple on the surface but there are so many possibilities with which pokemon you choose for your team, what types they are, what natures they have to take advantage of certain stats, what abilities they will have, what move sets you will give them, it goes on and on.As for this specific game, it is a great entry in the series. It follows Nintendo's normal pattern of releasing an enhanced version of their games, in this case of Diamond and Perl. These versions, at least for me, are the ones to get as they always offer something that the original versions didn't and usually have a better rounded set of Pokemon that you are able to catch as well as a unique Legendary only catch-able in these versions (in this case Giratina.) The graphics and sound are all serve their purpose very well, although not exactly state of the art. My only gripe with the sound is that they still use albeit slightly enhanced versions of the gameboy chip sounds for the Pokemon themselves. This might just be for nostalgia, but i really wish they would change over to the voices from the Anime. I could write a book about how much i love these series of games but i will just leave it at if you haven't played these games before, or have yet to move to the DS versions, do yourself a favor and give them a shot, i doubt you'll be disappointed.

This is one of my son's favorite pokemon games. Anything that can catch his attention and hold it for more than one day, is completely worth buying.

For anyone who enjoys Pokemon even in the least will enjoy this game. It's very similar to Diamond and Pearl, though with much more to do, and graphical changes. Just a very great game.
