4.0 out of 5 stars Almost the Holy Grail of Blue Tooth Stereo Headphones.
These are pretty damn good blue tooth stereo headphones. I'm a bald guy and wanted something stylish and functional at the same time. From ear bud to ear bud it's 21 inches long. 2.0 out of 5 stars Sony Ericsson Wireless Headphones
The headphones arrived very quickly & were as described. Unfortunately, the earbuds would not stay in my ears at all. They seem to be rather heavy & kept falling out - even after changing sizes. They do not stay charged for very long either. The sound quality was great, however, I decided to return them.

4.0 out of 5 stars Almost the Holy Grail of Blue Tooth Stereo Headphones., Nov 28 2011
This review is from: Sony Ericsson HBH-IS800 Wireless Stereo Headphone (Black) (Wireless Phone Accessory)
These are pretty damn good blue tooth stereo headphones. I'm a bald guy and wanted something stylish and functional at the same time. From ear bud to ear bud it's 21 inches long. The button control is on your left side so it's a bit weighted on that side so I use the optional detachable clip to attach to my shirt collar and keep everything looking symmetrical. There is enough length to look left and look right without wire tug. My only gripe with this set is the ear buds are not big enough. I'm 5'5" 155 lbs so I think I have an "average" size head but I use the largest size ear buds included and they still tend to eventually fall out of the ear canal when working out with cardio. Sound quality is favoured towards the treble but I went in to my iPhone4S Settings > Music > EQ > and selected "Bass Boost" for more full sound. No biggie. So far battery life is as advertised as 3-4 hours. I've never actually listened for 4 hours before but 1 1/2 hour work out at the gym no problem. ! Remember to turn off the head set to conserve the battery ! Otherwise it's always looking to pair with something I.E. you phone.... Over all 4/5 stars. I tried to attach a photo but Amazon server was too busy.

Battery life is short. I like how minimal it is, but the sacrifice is the batteries are placed in the headphones it seems, so there's very little room for them. I'd say that these are good for a workout, but not for a heavy day of listening to music.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very good earbuds...depending on how much you pay for them., Dec 27 2011
This review is from: Sony Ericsson HBH-IS800 Wireless Stereo Headphone (Black) (Wireless Phone Accessory)
I bought these on Black Friday from amazon after looking on-and-off for a year for bluetooth earbuds. I'm very happy with these - yes, the battery life seems to be short, but I use them when doing chores around the house or working out, so I use it for 2 hours at a time (at most), and so far, no issues with the battery dying.

Sound quality is pretty good - they're not as good as wired earbuds, but it's certainly good enough.

I find these to be very comfortable, and they don't fall out of my ear. I used the shirt-collar-connector once or twice but haven't used them since.

I must say, there's no way I would pay $150 for them, but on Black Friday, they were on sale for $40 which is an absolute steal.

These headphones are pretty good and are a solid 4 stars...

THE GOOD: They are lightweight, comfortable and sleek-looking. I use them with my iPhone 4S and the headset/microphone work great, including giving commands to Siri (the virtual personal assistant). The range is impressive with my iPhone as I can walk into a completely different room and they still work perfectly!

THE BAD: Musicians may find the sound quality a bit lacking, e.g. base isn't resounding enough, highs aren't crisp enough, etc. Honestly though they're great quality and I'm perfectly satisfied, so if you're not hypersensitive to this sort of thing you'll be fine.

THE UGLY: They have no option to be plugged in, so if the battery dies you have to wait until they're charged before using them again. On a related note, the battery lasts for only a few hours (around 4 hours tops I'd say) and then you have to charge them, limiting their usefulness.

All-in-all, since I got these headphones at the discounted $50 price (yay Amazon!) rather than the $140 price, I'm a very happy customer. However, I'm not sure I would pay the full price for these, though I suppose it depends what the competition looks like.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good sound, Ok Battery Life, Dec 15 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Sony Ericsson HBH-IS800 Wireless Stereo Headphone (Black) (Wireless Phone Accessory)
The sound is good, with not a lot of bass. Voice calls are clear, and the people on the other side say I sound as if I'm speaking right into the phone's microphone.

The design is very minimal, which means less battery life. I usually get about 1.5-2 hours of use from a charge.

I wouldn't recommend it for exercise if you sweat a lot, or even moderately. The ear buds do slip out of the ear very easily. I find myself having to push them back in frequently. Also, it isn't very water resistant. I used it for exercising for about 2 weeks, and then it suddenly stopped working. They wouldn't turn on. I was able to get a replacement through the warranty, and I haven't used them for working out since.

Overall, decent quality for the price. I was able to buy them on sale for about $45 CAD.

The sound is as expected from the price. However they have a tendancy to fall out of your ear. Very light and good sound quality from the mic.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great earphones, Nov 6 2012

This review is from: Sony Ericsson HBH-IS800 Wireless Stereo Headphone (Black) (Wireless Phone Accessory)
This product is very comfortable to use. It is not big at all, as it only has two ear-buds and a small microphone block. It is easy to answer phone calls with, but dialing can only be done with the phone. Sound quality for both phone calls and music is great. It does not have a LOT of bass, but the sound is very clean and solid!

Kept falling out or felt. If they were about to fall out. Would be nice with a hook around the ear.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great pair of wireless headphones, Oct 17 2012
This review is from: Sony Ericsson HBH-IS800 Wireless Stereo Headphone (Black) (Wireless Phone Accessory)
I've had these for about 9 months now and I must say they are a stellar pair of wireless bluetooth enabled in-ear headphones. the sound quality is great, the call quality is also very nice, although not as clear as when listening to music. I've used the HBH-IS800 primarily on my Playstation Vita and Android smartphone. the only two major complaints I have with the headset is the battery life isn't very good, I get around 2-3 hours of playtime and maybe about an hour extra for calls. The standby time is apparently 100+ hours, but I usually end up turning them off when not in use. Also it's quite annoying to have to constantly pair the headphones up when switching from the two devices, it would of been nice to have some sort of memory that let you store a device list. Overall the build quality is good, although after several months of use I noticed a tiny crack in the outer cover that exposes the charger outlet, but nothing major. The charger it ships with is unnecessarily large, it uses the same proprietary pin connectors as most Sony Ericsson brand phones, it would of been nice if it used a standard usb/mini usb lead instead. Besides the actual headset and charger, a small velvet-like carrying case is included to store the headphones in. The headphones themselves are very discreet and small therefor it can be tossed into any old case for safe transportation.

Overall I highly recommend the HBH-IS800 Bluetooth headset as it offers a great and affordable method of delivering wireless audio without having to resort into spending hundreds of dollars. The only major thing that might be a issue for some is the battery life.
