Worth watching for prison rights advocates,
By Gabriele LeClaire "Gabi LeClaire" (Toronto, Ontario Canada) - See all my reviews
This review is from: What Doesn't Kill You [Import] (DVD)
This film just aired on TVOntario and according to the interviews is based on a true story, autobiographically co-written (with Donny Walberg) and directed by Brian Goodman, who had been previously cast in a Robert Redford prison film. Goodman's character is played by Mark Ruffalo. Goodman also had a part in this film. Ethan Hawke co-stars. Reality-based stories are always the best entertainment and learning experiences, in my opinion.

My title sums up this review. What this movie lacks in film style, effects, acting, actions or originality it makes up for with a plot and overall emotion that feels like it represents a real life (and its stories and struggles).
