When I bought this pull up bar, I actually didn't expect much of it especially as it's so inexpensive compared to other similar products that I feared it would be cheap and I just wanted to see if I'd use such a training tool at all. It takes some time, patience and the right tools (screwdriver/ratchet) to put all the pieces together but once it's done, what you get is a sturdy piece of metal that fits in pretty much any door frame that has a standard size. I'm 165 pounds and am confident to lift myself up as much as I want with this. When I'm done with it I can put it away until next time and it doesn't spoil the paint or break the wood around the door frame. I like it.

I bought and returned this item a while ago. The foam felt too thin, and the part that rests atop the doorframe places the weight at two particular points, rather than across a bar as I have seen in other brands. I felt this would not be as friendly to the doorframe over time...

The material looked sturdy but the join at the middle of the longer bar was not entirely straight right after assembled. Only after one month of use, there was a slight bent somewhere. I could not locate the exact spot where it bent, but we sensed it because the bar could not hold on to the door frame like it first installed. It could easily came off now. We had to adjust the bar locking spots unevenly in order to use it. The heaviest person using the bar is only 150 lbs. This is a don't buy. You should look for similar item from other brand.

This product is easy to set-up (no pun intended lol) and doesn't leave marks on your wall. Great purchase, especially for the price!

For some reason mine didn't screw in all the way, so it is slightly wobbly when NOT mounted. But it does do it's job perfectly as when it IS mounted on the door frame it doesn't wobble at all with your weight pulling on it and I only weigh 140 . Worth the money in my opinion.
