5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic game, shrouded in drama.
Okay, the PS3 version of this game has so much drama around it because it's "a bad port". Which after I beat this game on the PS3 fail to understand how anyone who's actually played the PS3 version can say that. I just have to assume that people who've not played it are the ones saying it. Given that this is easily one of the best games I have ever played. The way I see...

1.0 out of 5 stars I tried to take my chance to replace an item ...
I tried to take my chance to replace an item in an order(E3 video game promotion) by another similar item, and Vignesh told me he can do that, and changed the item, then the price jumped to regular pricing, but he failed to adjust the price as He promised. And I contacted two CSR tonight, who toyed with me with faulty information for 3 hours. Please do not use website...

The way I see it, is that there is no way you can miss out on this game if you only own a PS3 just because it has more loading and is less polished. There are screen tearing issues, but you only notice if you actually look for it. Load times when the menu appears, but it's 2 seconds. And slow down in one area, where it doesn't affect the gameplay. [it slows down due to many platforms swirling around a large area]

The gameplay is very smooth. You can string together some amazing combos once you get the hang of things. You can equip 2 sets of weapons to interchange during combos for even more variety. Each set a and b, have 2 weapons in it. One kind of weapon set to Bayonetta's feet the other to her hands. Some weapons are exclusive to her hands, like the swords. If you dodge an attack right before it would have hit you, you enter witch time [excluding some instances, like certain bosses] and this slows down time. In the case of enemies on fire, it allows you to physically attack them without taking damage. It also plays into some of the puzzles in the game. Later on you can buy an ability which lets you use witchtime if you get hit as well, you simply press the dodge button R2 right when you get hit. You transform into bats and avoid damage and go into witch time. which allows you to not be perfect. Accessories can also allow you to go into witch time when you get hit every time.

There's 2 modes for any beginner to easily pick up Bayonetta and play it. Very Easy and Easy. Each of these difficulties is part of the 'automatic mode' which allows less skilled players a chance to kick some butt with simply pressing one button. The option to use more than that is still there, but it makes it a lot easier for those who need it. So it's an accessible game for those who worry about difficulty. I personally found it quite challenging on just the normal setting.

The story is wacky and not to be taken seriously. If you go in with any seriousness, you're going to not like the characters or story. [like all Platinum Games/Clover Studios games really]. I personally enjoyed the story. I found it was different and that made it interesting to me. The music is love/hate. I personally loved it. It's a nice change of pace from other games. It has the epic boss music and the funky jazzy music.

This game is fantastic and really should be enjoyed by anyone who's interested in it. Regardless of platform, I think Bayonetta is one of the best games ever created. Especially in it's genre.

5.0 out of 5 stars Platinum indeed, Feb. 6 2011
Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
Ce commentaire est de: Bayonetta - PlayStation 3 Standard Edition (Video Game)
So far, Platinum Games have lived up to their names. Holding the likes of Shinji Mikami (Resident Evil) and Hideki Kamiya (Devil May Cry and this game), they create some of the most well-crafted games out there. Bayonetta is no exception.

However, Platinum also hold a distinct style that is not for everyone : excess to the point of being ridiculous. And I love it. The game's combos are so numerous you won't know the difference between mashing and carefully planning at first, the moves are over the top, the writing is hilariously bad and clichéd, the references to Sega and Platinum's previous games are numerous, and matching all of that, Bayonetta's body proportion are impossible.

Under all that is the game directed by the man behind Devil May Cry, a game who upped the ante for 3D action games. Bayonetta is button-mashing fun at first, but once you get your head around it's mechanics, it opens to you as one of the most rewarding action game out there. You don't hit every ennemies on the screen in a 3-hit combo, you have to reach out to them, to position them, to use everything that is given to you (or rather, that Bayonetta can do, which is a lot) as an opportunity for more points.

Weapons are aplenty, unlocks too, ennemies aren't just dummies for high-scores even though they'll end like that if you're good enough. Mastering the game will be a long, arduous road, but playing it will be a blast from the first time you power up your console. So far, this is the 3D action game to beat and it won't go down with just a spank.

4.0 out of 5 stars Incredibly fun game!, Dec 8 2010

I bought this game only after reading that there is a patch for it to remove all those loading times. I'm very happy to have tried Bayonetta, which turns out to be a very fun, stylish and sexy take on Viewtiful Joe! It's clearly a caricature of action games (Devil May Cry in particular) and anime in general! It's very well done and the action is fast paste! You cannot help but love Bayonetta for her crazy fighting style that would make any contortionist or catwalk model jealous! HAHAHA! Buy this! You'll be happy you did! The only thing that bugs me is that the graphics are not as good as I would have liked them to be. True, I was spoiled with God of War 3, but still... Also, some cut-scenes use fixed images that slowly move instead of true animation... Both are minors faults that do not take away the very cool factor of the main gameplay!

5.0 out of 5 stars A gem for the PS3, Oct. 18 2014

Play it...just play it. Bayonetta is one of the few games for the PS3 that got me really excited, and not for the heroine. The game has a nice balance of action, and plays smoothly. Has lots of fun little moments in it, and tells a good story. Graphics are very nice as well. I have heard people say that the PS3 version is a poor port of the Xbox version, but, myself personally, have seen no real differences between the two as of yet.

The game is great on pretty much all fronts. But I had to knock it a star for the terrible PS3 port. It's mostly fixed now with a patch; but without a patch this game was nigh but unplayable.

Ended up doing 3 or 4 playthroughts. Colors look a bit washed up compared to the 360 version, but you will barely notice that while playing. Definitely recommend it.
