5.0 out of 5 stars Bayonetta - this game is great.

2.0 out of 5 stars Lost the plot
The game lacked story, well a decent one anyway, which is what I tend to prefer in a game. The combat of the game is very much Japanese fighting/RPG which is not my interest.

This game is probably the biggest spectacle of a game I have ever played. it is truly a sight to see on a High Def TV. Not only is the game a sight to see Bayonetta is also a very good looking game woman - But do not make the mistake of dismissing Bayonetta as all style with no substance.

This game is expertly paced and further enhanced by several subtle but brilliant tweaks to the action game formula.

These include a powerful item concoction mode, a comprehensive scoring system with online leaderboards, and a loading screen cleverly disguised as a practice mode (well waiting for the game to load - the game allows you to practice combos and actually mess around little while the game loads - which to me is awesome.)

The game is broken up into 16 chapters (plus and prologue and epilogue) - the game will last between 12-20 hours - pending on your play style. There is a lot of replay value with the online boards and the different difficulty settings.

What is also nice Bayonetta can be just a simple action-adventure game if you want it to be, or it can be one of the more immerse, detailed and complex games you have - just depends on your style and what you like.

A story is kinda of ridiculous but the game seems to know this and plays to that. If I really to nit pick the are a few minor minor camera issues but nothing too bad at all and few and far between.

The sound, music and voice editing is all and all well done.

One other thing to add - there is no plans for any DLC for this game - the game creators have said so and even say so in their introduction in the hard cover strategy guide - there are whispers of a sequel though - since this game has sold over a a million copies.

Well the action genre is not my favourite - This is still one of my favourite games on the XBOX 360 - a early contender for game of the year 2010.

I gave it a 9.2 out of 10.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the BEST GAME of all TIME!, April 27 2012
Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Bayonetta (Video Game)
Bayonetta is full of action, full of fun and especially, the boss battles are amazing!

The graphics are amazing and very fluid. The action and gameplay is very detailed and on many occasion epic. The fact that there is a Very Easy setting of difficulty is amusing since nobody could be losing at this game in that setting since your practically invincible! The characters are on many occasion fun to watch and the main character (Bayonetta) is great to play with (sexy, funny and powerful, with a lot of different weapons, arsenals and magic spells to utilize). The music is fun and cute, especially Bayonetta's Main Theme Song (Fly Me To The Moon), Bayonetta's Fight Theme Song and the Credit Song at the end of the game. The Boss Battles are probably one of the best aspect of this game if not, the best! Epic and incredible, the bosses are huge, impressive and you will have to utilize lots of quick time events situations to beat them, but it's easy.

The story is a little bit weak since there is not much structure and explanation in it and it's obvious that the designers made little effort into that, but playing the game, you would probably be thinking the same thing as me, who cares!

I really hope for a sequel for the simple reason that this future franchise could be really good and prosper for SEGA and for game players.

Overall, this game offers about everything that you could love in a game meant to entertain and amuse you.
