good movie but "choose their fate" isn't there,
By
This review is from: Final Destination 3 [Blu-ray] (Blu-ray)
The movie adn characters are good enough, some gruesome deaths of course, but I'm very sad they didn't keep the "choose their fate" feature, where just before a death sequence occurs you can choose what happens, the scenes are not unfinished or anything, it's just another possibility of what could happen (thre's even one at 20 minutes of the film where Wendy can decide to forget about all this, and the end credits roll ... Very sad this unique feature isn't there

Forget the Choose their faith addition,

This review is from: Final Destination 3 [Blu-ray] (Blu-ray)
I think this sounds confusing to see the alternative version to the original version because it sounds very confusing. The original version has all the gore scenes. The alternative version has some gore scenes but different from the original. Do not bother adding the "Choose their faith" version. I will skip that movie.

better kills, more intense and yes, even horrifying at times(best of the series),

This review is from: Final Destination 3 [2-Disc Thrill Ride Edition] (DVD)
this is by far the goriest of the series.i can take a lot of gore, butthere are a couple of scenes which are almost too much for me.almost, but not quite.the kills are much more gruesome than the two previous movies.also, many of them are very sudden, and came as close to scaring the crap out of me as any movie i've see.the intensity in this one is almost through the roof.there's also some old style horror in some scenes, and by that i don't mean gore, but something like Gothic horror.i think this is the best movie of the series, unusual for a second sequel.i applaud the filmmakers for making a horror movie that is horrifying.and that what this movie is,a horror movie that is also thrilling, and gory enough for all the gore hounds out there.the only thing i didn't like is that most of the, characters(except for 2 or 3) are dumb and shallow and not very likable at all.otherwise,a hugely successful movie that does what it sets out to do.hopefully, this will be the last of the series, since i don't think they can top it. 5/5

Lets you decide where the story goes...,

This review is from: Final Destination 3 [2-Disc Thrill Ride Edition] (DVD)
This DVD is really an impressive piece of work. While the movie itself will probably not win an Oscar, it should win the award for "Most interesting use of multiple branching points in a DVD". The "Choose Their Fate" option is an interesting twist that allows you to choose where the story goes. While I won't reveal what you can accomplish (You can "save" a few people), I still don't have the feeling I've seen every possible combination and this may take some time.Visually, the image is clear and the sound is ok. As I said earlier, the story could be improved but keep in mind it's the third movie in the serie so the concept is used and possibly abused. The death sequence are well done and as opposed to "Final Destination 2", you don't always see them coming from miles (or KM) away. All in all, it's a good movie and great DVD to have fun with. Now back to choose their fate...

Incorrect aspect ratio,
By
This review is from: Final Destination 3 [Blu-ray] (Blu-ray)
According to the back cover, the aspect ratio of this Blu-ray Disc is 1.78:1. That means the movie is incorrectly framed. The OAR (original aspect ratio) as seen in theaters and on the standard DVD release is 2.41:1. However, per the IMDB, the movie was shot using Super35, so it's likely that the mattes at the top and bottom were simply removed so that the picture would fill the HDTV frame. Picture is 1080p.The movie itself is entertaining, if not quite as good as FD1 and FD2. Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Sky High, Live Free or Die Hard, Death Proof, Make It Happen) is cute as the lead, and Amanda Crew (Sex Drive) has a small role as her sister. Most memorable part is the tanning bed scene.

Item was as described. New and still in plastic wrap. I thought when purchased the item it was the cheapest price. When I went to the local grocery store after purchasing the Blu Ray Movie, the same Blu Ray Movie was in a bin for $9.99. If I had to go to the local grocery store before I purchased the Blu Ray Movie on Amazon.ca I would have purchased the movie at the local grocery store first and would have saved the cost for shipping. Oh well, other than that my experience with the purchase and the movie have been great.
