My world is somewhat complete again: I now possess my very own "Lee Strobel" series. The Case for a Creator was pivotal in having a very dear friend consider that God really DOES exist! This dvd and The Case for Faith were loaned to us at a critical time when my agnostic friend was searching for spiritual answers, facing his impending death. The "Creator" dvd was an awakening, seemingly because it encompassed much scientific research and made the whole concept attractive to a current non-believer. I never tire of watching it. To be truthful, the other two dvds in the series weren't as compelling. They are both very well-done, in true Lee Strobel style, and the experts interviewed illustrated their beliefs well. The catch in both the "Faith" and "Christ" stories seems to be that to be able to accept their wisdom, observations and opinions, you have to have a basic belief in Scripture to start with. There seems to be a thread of "this is true because the Bible says it's true...look at how Paul described this, or how Jesus referred to that." A skeptic has a lot of steps to take before buying into the logic presented in the dvds. I still watch them, still value them and think they're very well produced, but I'm coming from a perspective of a committed Christian faith. Someone still undecided may have more difficulty following the rationale.

This collection includes three documentary dvds with the author Lee Strobel explaining his journey from being an atheist to his search for God. He studied at Yale Law School and became a journalist for the Chicago Tribune and he went on a search to discover:
DVD 1 Case for a Creator (can believing in God be logical?)
DVD 2 Case for Christ (Is Jesus Christ God? Did He claim to be God?) and
DVD 3 Case for Faith (Dealing with doubts)

Overall a great purchase!
Would recommend it to anyone (atheist, other religion, Christian)

This is a great set of movies that lay out the truths in to word of God using logic and everyday science. This is what they should be showing kids in school. You won't be disdsapointed

Since the first time I read "Case For Christ", I've loved the way in which Strobel (and the multiple scholars he interviews) are able to explains in simple (yet not simplistic) terms the main rational arguments used to support the belief in God and Christ. As a former science teacher now studying Philosophy and Theology, I highly recommend this DVD trilogy. In just about 3 hours, anyone with no particular knowledge in history or science can get to know why Christians today can say they have valid reasons to believe that the universe was created by an intelligent being and that Jesus physically rose from the dead. Moreover, "The Case for Faith" presents very interesting reflections about the questions which Christians face the most often when they discuss their beliefs with people who know Christianity from afar.

Being a christian academic, I may have heard all these arguments time and time again, but I really love watching theses DVDs or reading Strobel's books again and again, and I cannot recommend more highly to get them and enjoy them yourself.
