5.0 out of 5 stars Fast shipping. Love the software!
I was a little hesitant about ordering Photoshop Elements because I've used the full version of Photoshop for a number of years and didn't want a dumbed-down version of the product. I was pleasantly surprised that Elements has most of the options I used frequently in earlier versions of Photoshop (layers, cloning tool, filters, adjustments to colour, brightness/contrast,...

1.0 out of 5 stars Premiere Elelments 8
Having used Premiere Elements 3 very happily for some years, I was very
dissapointed to experience problems with 8.

If you have XP/Media Edition 2003 then there is a conflict with a Premiere 8
rountine that will knock out Media Edition upon Premiere 8 install.

Adobe advised and hopefully a fix will be available soon.

I was a little hesitant about ordering Photoshop Elements because I've used the full version of Photoshop for a number of years and didn't want a dumbed-down version of the product. I was pleasantly surprised that Elements has most of the options I used frequently in earlier versions of Photoshop (layers, cloning tool, filters, adjustments to colour, brightness/contrast, etc) and some new tools that I'd not had in Photoshop 5.5 (like a better selection tool). What's terrific too is now I qualify for the Upgrade version of Photoshop CS4 if I want it. I would highly recommend this for the non-professional imaging afficianato.

Excellent product with many of the features of the professional version but at a fraction of the price. In my opinion it does everything the keen amateur would want to touch up and correct digital photos. The mask features are easy to use and objects can be moved or adjusted with ease. The clone tool makes it easy to retouch scans of old photos.

This is a fine product, albeit somewhat bloated.

Another review has given it one star on the basis of it not supporting RAW formats. However, it does. There is a free RAW 6.1 plug-in for Elements, with the same camera support as in full PhotoShop. Easily determined with reference to the Adobe website.

4.0 out of 5 stars So far so good, Oct 18 2010
This review is from: Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 [OLD VERSION] (DVD-ROM)
To be honest - I haven't used the program much at this point. However, I was pleased at the price and the speedy delivery. It loaded very easily and I've had a chance edit a few photos. I am very novice tho - so I may be impressed easily. I look forward to organizing my photo libraries. The software comes with tutorials on line that are very helpful.

I paid at least $25 less for this than the price of it anywhere locally (on sale a couple of weeks after I had purchased this item through amazon) Shipping was very fast and convenient, no worries.

1.0 out of 5 stars RAW Files, April 2 2010
By
This review is from: Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 [OLD VERSION] (DVD-ROM)
There is no mention wether this software will handle RAW files, I can therefore assume it won't, anyone using software of this calibre should be shooting RAW files not JPEGs. For me I only shoot RAW with ny DSLR.
