Great novels! Great story!! and now on television!! I love the series and this was the icing on the cake!!

OK, might as well stick in my 2¢-worth I suppose:

The violence, bouncing boobs, sex and incest don't bother me per se; sometimes they're laid on so thick it just makes me laugh. But past a certain point, they do bore me. I suppose they're trying to cast their net for the audience as wide as possible.

And I, too, am irritated by pointless deviations from the original story — in which Season 2 is indeed much worse than Season 1.

These considerations aside, this series has much to recommend it. For a start, the acting is almost uniformly first rate: if I had to award just one Oscar, it would go to the Casting Director. A second would go for Special Effects, and a third for title music.

This script is crisp and entertaining, too, and — a definite benefit over reading the books — you don't have to put up with the author's appalling grammar.

No, it's not perfect, but my wife and I both look forward to it very much — and she HATES fantasy, I had to twist her arm into even giving it a chance.

So 5 stars from me.

The Game of Thrones is one of the best shows on television today. I recommend this show to everyone I know. If you like this show I truly recommend investing your time in the books. The thing I think I love about this show the most is that they stay really true to the books.

You definitely get more out of the story and pick up more nuances when you can get immersed in the world. As a fan of the books, I could detect when the story line deviated, but it wasn't disruptive. It was a very absorbing and I I intend to get the next season to watch this way as well.

Of course it is not as detail oriented as the book but I am loving it. Can't wait to get season 2.

It was bought for my grandson. Both my grandson and daughter watched it and are enjoying it so much I bought him the second
season the Game of Thrones.

The disc set was still wrapped and in excellent condition.
The film quality is outstanding, as one would hope from a HBO production.
The season was 95% true to the books, but did not cover as much material as I had hoped.
I guess I will have to buy more as they are released.

Talk about entertainment - story line - Fantastic. The actors - Excellent. I am not one for child actors. All the child actors in the Game of Thrones pass my expectations. Love it Love it.

I had alrealdy bouth season 2. Some of my friends told me it was really good. I love all the scheaming and some of the caracters witch I really liked died, which really saddened me.
