WAY better than the first...,
This review is from: Here We Go Again (Audio CD)
While her first album had some cute tunes, especially Trainwreck, On The Line and Don't Forget, it's very Disney... not personal in the least bit. With this album Demi shows that she can be on a Disney show while creating an album with real, personal, rock, sans-bubblegum pop music. While Miley, Jonas Brothers, and Selena Gomez are creating albums filled with songs that all sound the same that are solely meant for dancing and not looking deeper, Demi is shining. Here is a song by song review:Here We Go Again- This is the tied best song on the CD (you'll see what the other one is later). It's catchy, fun, passionate, real... highlight the catchy. It's a great first single, so fun but so real that you wouldn't be able to guess it was Disney. Think of Kelly Clarkson's "Since U Been Gone"... this has the same style. 5/5 Solo- This is catchy and fun and it definitely sounds like one of the songs she can connect to most. I'm very much a wordplay person, so I get excited at the "so low/ solo" part. Ummmm... yeah. 4/5 U Got Nothing On Me- Except for the beginning (screaming "you got nothing on me!" four times", this is a very good song on the CD. Catchy, fun. Awesome. 5/5 Falling Over Me- This song has some of my favorite lyrics on the album and definitely shows off the beauty of her vocals. But, honestly, it's quite boring. Cute but boring. 3/5 Quiet- Demi Lovato trying a screamo-type song isn't exactly amazing. Not very catchy and too loud. 3/5 Catch Me- This is the other best song on the album. SUPER CUTE!!!!!! And it just makes you smile when you listen to it. :) . The only song on the album that Demi wrote all alone. 5/5 Every time You Lie- I love the jazzy sound to it. It's also very "I'm over you" type. 5/5 Got Dynamite- This song, while not Disney-fied, is pretty annoying. It's fun, but the verses sound like she's Britney Spears. 3.5/5 Stop The World- Easy to tell that Nick Jonas co-wrote this song. It's fun and cute, but somewhat like "Get Back" off her previous album, which I find was overrated. 4/5 World of Chances- This song had the prettiest lyrics off the album. Very heartbreaking, in a beautiful way. One of my favorites. 5/5 Remember December- This song has grown on me, but although WAY out of Disney range, quite overproduced. 4/4 Everything You're Not- Somewhat like Solo. Catchy, pop-rockish... just not amazing. 3.5/5 Gift of A Friend- Cute, pretty, but easy to get sick of. 3.5/5 So Far So Great- Just skip this track. 2/5

Demi Lovato has proven with this cd that she has grown as an artist. My favorite song is definately catch me and world of chances. But the whole cd is amazing, her vocals are beautiful as usual.
