5.0 out of 5 stars Good for the price
Works well, have it partitioned to use for my wii backups and to backup my computer files. Havent had any issue yet.Would Recommend this external harddrive.

3.0 out of 5 stars So far so good
Plugged and played excellently into Windows 7. The only problem so far has been the slightly loose cord that connects to the device. Can be a wee bit touchy and become unconnected if jostled at all. Backup speed is relatively fast. Super quiet so I don't even notice if it takes a long time.

Parfait : ce disque dur externe fait la job!
Un pour mes back-up et un autre pour mon média hub.
En plus, il a une apparence monolithique que j'aime.

This review is from: Western Digital WD Elements 1 TB USB 2.0 Desktop External Hard Drive WDBAAU0010HBK-NESN (Discontinued by Manufacturer) (Personal Computers)
Rien de particulier à dire, sinon que tout fonctionne sans problème. Le disque est silencieux. À 90$ pour 1TB, ça me semble un excellent achat.
Utilisé sous linux (debian sqeeze).

I love this hard drive. It is quiet and small and for my needs that is good. I bought this hard drive to use as a PVR with my new HD LED tv.I am very satisfied.

Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Western Digital WD Elements 1 TB USB 2.0 Desktop External Hard Drive WDBAAU0010HBK-NESN (Discontinued by Manufacturer) (Personal Computers)
I was using this external hard drive to stream media onto a Western Digital media player. After about a year, the media player started having trouble accessing files on the external hard drive. Eventually nothing could access it, including the computer I used to load media onto the hard drive. I assume it's a faulty usb connection but have yet to open up the enclosure and find out.

I've had good experiences with WD's internal hard drives so I'm pretty disappointed with this product. It did not live up to the WD name.
