Having used this vacuum for a couple of months, I have found that it works quite well for open areas. The attachments that come with the vacuum are ok, but cleaning the stairs with this thing is a hassle. I am looking for a second vacuum to clean the stairs. The cord for the attachments is way to short to be of much use. The suction for cleaning is really good though.

It comes with 3 attachments and an 'extension wand'. One tool is for corners (crevice tool), one is for upholstery though I've used it for the carpeting between railings on the stairwell. The last is the 'TurboBrush' which is a small version of the vacuum which is used with the extension wand and hose. The TurboBrush does not work very well, and cleaning it is a hassle because it needs to be taken apart with a screw driver. They should have made it easier to take apart. I have the same complaint about the vacuum itself regarding the brushes and belt.

The canister and filters on the other hand are easy to clean. There is a small knob which releases the canisters. I just dump the dirt/dust into a bag and throw that out. Then wash the canisters (2 of them), and the two washable filters with warm water. The vacuum comes with a HEPA filter which is located after the motor, but it is not washable and Bissell recommends that it be replaced every 6 months, which I don't think is worth it. Instead you can buy a washable 'Post Motor Filter', which is probably a better deal in the long run, unless you need the HEPA one. I think Bissell should just have included the washable one along with one HEPA one to test. Note: If you have allergies, I would be careful cleaning this thing, or get a bagged vacuum.

I found the electric cord to be a good length, though it is easy to just attach an extension. It also comes with a light on the front of the vacuum. Eventually, the bulb would burn out and would need to be replaced so I just took it out. Lastly, for some reason Bissell decided that when you are using the attachments, the brushes on the vacuum itself continue to spin. This is a bit dangerous, and also if you have high carpet, it is possible it that it will burn through a bit of your carpet.

Overall, it is a decent vacuum which I would gladly buy again. Buy this vacuum if you aren't looking to spend much and want to clean large areas quickly.

-Good suction
-Wide which makes cleaning large areas quick and easy.
-2 of the 3 filters are washable.

Cons:

-Stairs, corners are difficult to clean
-Vacuum hose is way to short
-HEPA filter replacement is expensive considering the cost of the vacuum
-Vacuum brushes continue to spin when using attachments

I bought this vacuum almost 6 months ago. Good product for the price! I did a lot of research before I bought, I didn't want to spend a lot of money. The unit has good suction and an easy to clean filter. The attachments work well on our furniture (mico suede), occasionaly the hose falls out while I'm vacuuming, but it doesn't really bug me. I have an older dog with excessive shedding, and it does a pretty good job getting all the dog hair. Luckily I don't have any stairs and I wouldn't want to haul this up, it's a bit of a heavier unit. All in all, very happy with the vacuum. Great bang for your buck!

I purchased this Vacuum on Aug 14 thru Amazon.com for $94.49 (which includes GST)and it arrived Sept 12 - (Thier Estimated delivery Sep 10 - 18). Can't really complain since shipping was free.
The Vacuum sucks up the Dirt and Cat fur out of the carpet quite well. The material is sucked into the dust container and swirls around while you go over the floor with the unit. Emptying this container is very simply and easy to do, you slide the retainer lever to one side and remove the plastic container containing the dirt and fur, then just dump it into the garbage before returning it to the vacuum. I didn't notice any loss of suction but then I have a tendency to empty the container after each use, which means there isn't much in the container when vacuuming.
As others have stated the unit only has one switch that powers both the vacuum and the beater bar brush, so when using the hose & attachments the brush continues to run. The suction thru the hose is so strong the flexible hose becomes shorter and stiffer when using the attachments, which can be a bit annoying. But it does suck up the dirt well. The small pet rotating brush attachment works great and grooms the carpeted stair well.
The unit is quite a bit lighter than my old Platinium Force Dirt Devil unit and glides across the carpet quite easier when vacuuming. The cord is about 3 feet shorter than my Platinium Force but I can get used to that very soon. I would recommend this unit to anyone who has pets and wants a good performer.

Bought this after going through too many cordless or cheap models. Have been using a small "shop vac" for the last couple of years. This vacuum has more power than the shop vac and is bagless. I only have one area rug and the rest is bare floor and it cleans both great! In fact, I didn't realize my carpet was so dirty until I vacuumed it with this. Glad I bought it.

I'm amazed at what this little vacume picks up. My house is way less dusty since replacing my old vacume, and I run it less often. The only drawback for me is that the filters really do need to be cleaned each time after using the vacume. It beats buying new ones though.

Previous to buying this vaccum I had a Bissel Easy Vac which really served its purpose over the period of time. But my old vaccum was loosing its suction so we decided to upgrade, after much reserch and considering the cost we went for Bissell Clean view helix.

I have a wall to wall carpet in my apartment, when i used this vaccum on my carpet the first day I was amazed at the amount of dirt and hairs it pulled out from my carpet. The added feature is the small roller brush which can be used for hard to reach places without moving the furniture.

Also the best thing I liked about this vaccum that all the vaccum has space for storing all the attachments so we dont have to rush to the storage to look for them.

Only thing I miss is the foot operated on-off button from my old vaccum.

All in all a good buy. Thanks amazon for the fast delivery on it.

I have seen vacuums that cost 3 times as much, this does as good a job as any of them!

I bought this vacuum and I was so happy with the products. The shipment was very fast. The vacuum works excellently well and its easy to work with. However the cord connecting the vacuum to the power outline is very short and therefore with an extension box you should be fine. I vacuumed my room which is rugged and it cleared all the dirt's ..looks like a brand new rugg after cleaning. However the vacuum makes a lot of noise... very noisy ....could barely hear myself... but I rate it 5 star cux its works perfectly and its a great buy for the price!

Cleans well but makes a lot of noise. Especially on hard floors. The head may be a bit big too and the tube is a bit short. The shipping was SUPER FAST (two days iirc). I'm quite satisfied since the price was super low and i'm not the kind of guy who vacuum cleans all the time, maybe twice a month, neither my girlfriend. Someday, ill have my Dyson, until then.... bissel it will be ;)

This vacuum cleaner exceeded my expectations. It was the cheapest model in its class, but it is absolutely amazing. It cleans perfectly well. It is handy and powerful. I like the wide-beam headlights.
