This yogurt maker comes with healthy glass containers. The individual covers are only put on when the yogurt is ready. The large cover used when the yogurt is being made is specially well designed so that not a drop of vapor falls back on the yogurt. For a perfect texture I use 2% milk. The taste is wonderful. Our previous yogurt maker, a Danvier with plastic containers and lids which remain in place throughout the process, was not nearly as good, though it made satisfactory yogurt.

You know what they say about assuming things. As I ordered these with the yogurt maker and extender I mistakenly assumed that the lids were the dated ones. They are not. It was my mistake not the sellers. I do think its an easy mistake to make though and think it should have been clearly stated. That aside these are just perfect snack size, sturdy, dishwasher safe and we'll buy more - with dated lids.
