This device includes a USB IR converter dongle for your PS3. If you have a "teachable" Universal Remote, such as a decent One For All or a Logitech Harmony, you can "teach" the Nyko Bluewave buttons to Universal Remote, put the dongle in your PS3, then put the Nyko Remote in storage. One function it does not have is an equivalent for the PS button. You can not turn the PS3 ON with this device. Nor can you QUIT Netflix (and, I presume, any other app or game). You have to use the PS3 controller or PS3 remote to do this. But for anything else, you can use your trusty Universal Remote.
You can, fro instance, turn the PS3 off by scrolling to the very left and choosing "Turn off device."
Nor does it have an eject button, but you can do this by pressing the Options button (the triangle) and choosing "Eject disk."
A good buy, considering the other IR converters for PS3 are in the $100 range!
