Backatown by Trombone Shortythis is one of my favorite jazz albums of 2010, but I don't think I would limit this album to only jazz fans. I think rock/r&b fans will love this to. Great musicianship all the way through. some really great vocals from some heavy hitters. Listed to it all the way through, you will love the rhythms , ever changing,, really keeps your groove on. I can't say enough about this music - jazz, rock, funk, hip-hop...whatever you call it it's great!Troy is one of the best live performers I've seen - and his recorded music is great too. Orleans Avenue (the band) are fantastic - they love to play and really engage a crowd. Listen to the albums, then catch the live act - this is music at it's best!
