I am leery of buying any Microsoft product soon after release, but I kind of had to make the change now. Office 2010 has proven to be quite reliable. On the first installation, something went wrong about 3/4 the way through. But everything went well on the second try.

I've been using WORD, EXCEL, and ACCESS. Other than getting used to the new way (from Office 2003), I haven't detected any issues. And I am already preferring the 2010 product.

Excellent Upgrade from Office 2007 and earlier editions. One comment, though, carefully decide whether or not you want the 32 or 64 bit edition, makes a difference on performance on newer 64 bit machines.

this product was exactly what I was looking for at a great price. Would have appreciated knowing how many PC's it was good for and if the product was the actual DVD as well as letting buyer know that this software came with 1 year of technical support. As a first time buyer of software on-line, was a bit nervous about the process, but it turned out to be a good experience.

There was a problem with the product key. The seller gave me additional keys to try and nothing worked. They told me to discard the product and refunded my money. I have since purchased Microsoft 365 and liking it so far.

Microsoft Office Professional 2010 has worked as expected until recently when it has stopped updating. The product does not come with a CD or DVD but when I had trouble with it the Microsoft technician had a DVD sent to me. Unfortunately the updating problem can't be fixed without setting if back to its basic defaults and then reinstalling all of the programs and that is unacceptable to me at present. So, the updating problem is not fixable. I think the updating problem occurred because there was a power outage during when it was updating that damaged the ability to update. I think this is short sighted on the part of Microsoft. The Windows program should be separate from the installed software, data and personal profile, so that it can be deleted and reinstalled at any time without affecting your programs installed, your personal settings or your personal data. This is how the Mozilla browser and email clients is constructed. Those programs can be uninstalled and reinstalled at any time without affecting your personal data or profile.

I'm reviewing this 4 years after the big change from standard but changeable toolbars to the new ribbon interface. I'm writing this to say that I didn't freak out, took the time to learn them and now like them a lot! No need to hold out and hope they will go away, it really isn't that bad.

Beyond that, does the job well, regular security updates and plenty of guides to achieve what you want to do (and I mean want, not need to do).

I do recommend you get a product key card and download the software, and keep a copy of the key safe (as that is your license).
