I am able to find almost any geocache I set out to find. I am not a big fan of the tiny joystick as you end up clicking it accidentally while trying to scroll. I've never used another GPS geocaching, but I doubt I could, as I love being able to download caches directly to it, and not have to use any paper at all. I've never even had to put coordinates in. I don't like how it seems to glitch out in the woods and I have to wait for it to refresh its position in order to know where I am in relaton to the cache. It's always accurate once it has refreshed though.

As a Geocaching neophyte I was quite excited to try out this gadget. When I received it I was faced with a grievous process of trying to get it up and running (I was under the false impression that it would be Plug and Play). After spending twelve hours trying to figure out how it works I had to give up. There are many glowing reviews of this product on multiple webistes and I can't understand why. I was faced with countless hoops and whistles in order to get going and none of which were effective. This company has a non-existent troubleshooting section on their website and no 24/7 support. I will wait for a suitable alterative but I will not give this company a second chance.

I had no problem getting this device running and downloading full cache info from[...]. As for pocket queries, it was easier to open the GPS as a hard drive and simply drag the unzipped query into the geocache folder as opposed to messing around with the recommended programs. The screen is hard to see in the sunlight and the map zoom is awkward and a stuggle at best. The big BUT. The joystick/navigation nub ripped off after only three months rendering the device useless. I don't consider my geocaching rugged by any means, and this really brings the durability of the device into question. Calls to Magellan take one to an answering machine that refer you to the website. Been waiting a week with no response.
I give it a 2 because it worked when it worked.

This is a great little gps for geocaching! It has very simple controls and is easy to use. Great buy!
