You get three silent movies in this one CD so an obvious bargain.
Sadly the Packagers have taken modern attitudes to interpret and sell the video promoting the title movie (The Danger Girl)as "Madcap Lesbian Hijinks", when it is obviously nothing of the kind. It is in fact a girl desperate to reel in her distracted boy and stumbles on the idea of dressing up as a Man to cause him to get jealous. Her friend recognises her in the male clothing and she "gets it" and goes along with the gag pretending to be romantic to drive the man to distraction. This movie was quick paced and confusing to follow, in fact I had to just let it run and hope I would figure it out in the end and in the end it did end up becoming clear. It was neat to see Gloria Swanson finaly in a genuine silent movie rather than the one seen in the Beverly Hillbillies.
Two other movies
Hash House Fraud was pure fun and the sort of silent comedy you think of as almost generic. lot's of sillyness in this one.
Teddy at the Throttle, was confusing to follow. You got what was going on and knew where they were going but editing/story thread was very poor so you just sort of had to grasp bits and pieces as you go. It does have the sort of classic girl tied to a railroad tracks scene that Dudly Do-Right might rescue and it has Wallace Beery being the typical no-goodnik.
