The best thing on Earth after HD TV...,

This review is from: Breville Die-Cast Programmable Espresso BES830XL (Kitchen)
I've purchased this espresso machine 3 years ago, and it's working flawlessly since then.Coffee is perfect, hot, lots of crema, every single time. =)) The gauge is quite handy (it tells me if my coffee is too fine, or if I put too much pressure). Sturdy, well build, what more can I ask? Okay, okay, the steam air (for frothing the milk) could be a little stronger, but I'm an espresso guy, not a cappuccino one, so I don't care. (It's not that bad, anyway...) Overall, in my humble opinion, the best espresso machine I've used over years of espresso loving madness. =)) (Sorry for my strange written english; french is my first language.)

Solid, reliable performer,

I purchased my machine 3 years ago after my Breville Café Roma expired from exhaustion. I upgraded to this machine and have been consistently pleased with its performance ever since. NOTE: I have not done any maintenance or deep cleaning of any kind to my machine and it is still in top form. This machine walks the balance between being just manual enough to allow for adjustments to meet individual personal tastes and the automatic, when speed and ease are needed. The crema volume is dazzling- you will not have any problems extracting good shots if you observe the principles of fine coffee brewing: use fresh beans and only grind them when extracting shots. There are more expensive, flashier machines on the market, but shot for shot they do not outperform this make and model. The Breville brand is credible and the generous water tank and steel exterior are bonuses. Solid build, solid performance which I would pay for again.

Looking for some Christmas disappointment? Look no further, this piece of trash could not make a single cup of coffee. From all the customer reviews I have now read it seems the pump is cheap.DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!

This machine is the best thing I have every purchased. Upon buying my first house I splurged myself in getting one of those. At that time it was quite pricey (close to $300) but worth every penny. The coffee tastes amazing and I do have at least 2 shots every morning before work.Have in mind, however, that this machine is operated manually: you have to load coffee powder in the pod, have the coffee poured, then you have to wash the pod before loading for the next shot. This machine is used every time we have company over and is quite an entertainer. |
