I used to have B&D and I liked it but when I switched to this food processor life is getting much much easier for me!
It does everything from chopping, grating and even mixing and making my bakery dough!
I love it and I won't get any other brand than Cuisinart in my life again.
It is pricy but it is well worth the money. However, the only problem is washing! Since after one use all the parts should be cleaned, altough it says the parts are dishwasher safe but I wash them myself so it takes time to clean all the parts but overall I really like it. If you have money to spend for a good processor take this if not get the smaller Cuisinart processor but stick to this brand.

Just bought this off Amazon.ca - although we've only had it for a couple weeks, we have used it a lot mainly for chopping and pureeing soup. Surprised how quiet it is, and happy that it can hold so much stuff. The only thing I wish was that it came with some sort of case to hold all of the accessories, the blades are really sharp so not ideal to stuff in a drawer or something. The other thing is that it is really heavy, so we have just kept it on the countertop instead of always putting it away and pulling it back out.

honestly look no further, It does everything you want it to do

cons:

- while grating, small bits of the veggie gets trapped between the grater attachment and the top.

- blade stains so clean after use

- unit jumps to the left every time the unit is started

As you can see, not many substantial cons.

I ordored this Cuisinart food processor on February 8th and received it only 4 days later even though I had choosen the free delivery option. The base is made of steel and not plastic. Having previously felt a Kitchenaid, I think the most effective is just having to push the lid to close the device and be able to start. The food processor is not louder or quieter than the Kitchenaid I had. I love the retractable blade 1 to 6 mm. Very handy for cutting various types of vegetables. The inside of the top cover is coated with rubber to prevent fluid from escaping when the device is running. Brilliant idea. Not too broad not too long but very high. Look good on the kitchen counter.

My 10 month old would get terrified when I used my old food processor so when I ran this one and she didn't even blink I new I had made a good decision. This product is heavy duty and quiet. I especially LOVE the dough blade as I make loads of home made bread. This takes out the kneading which is great for my wrists which have arthritis.

My one complaint is that the lid does not always seal. The machine will start and I will then realize (from the mess) that I did not fully lock the lid in place. However now that it has happened a few times, I just double check the lock on the blender before running it. Good product.

So easy to use! Extremely well built. Large and small bowls are great! Will last me a lifetime! Love my Cuisinart!

This is our first food processor. It was much quieter than we expected. We had anticipated blender type noise. Not the case at the all. Our first test was a block of cheese with the shredding disc. It took care of it in a matter of seconds and left perfectly shredded cheese behind. We also love that everything is dishwasher safe, and the base can be wiped down with a soapy towel. Easy clean up. Thumbs up.

I've always owned Cuisinart food processors and this time decided to upgrade to the Elite. This thing is awesome. For anyone who uses a food processor for nuts and dried fruit, this machine is a must! Couldn't be happier.

This food processor is very powerful and works perfectly well. It's easy to use and very polyvalent. I love it! The only inconvenient is to wash it, but it must be the same with all the food processor...
