Loved the series and I wish there was more. The only let down was the final episode that ended in an open ended ending, however since the series was cancelled, we will never know how anything turns out. I wish the writers and producers of Canadian content would put more in to a series and maybe if it was around for more then 13 episodes it may actually take off and become a real hit.

This is without a doubt one of the best series in recent years. The script, the stories and character development are all top notch. The mix of personalities in the lead charcters are fascinating, and not what you normally see in a slightly more flashy US series. This Canadian production has a feel and style all of its own, and James McGowan leads an excellent cast.
However I am very very disappointed that the network suits decided to axe the show after this third season. Unbelievable, especially as the final episode is a balls-to-the-wall cliffhanger obviously intended for resolution in a fourth season.
If you like any sort of cop style drama, do yourself a favour, and enjoy these 3 seasons.

Not only do they end the series with a cliff hanger, but this show was the best on TV period for the 2009/2010 TV season. Note that I didn't say on Canadian TV. Spooks in the UK and the second half of 24 were close, though The Border was a series that was coming into its own. The show has a wide cult following and I have heard nothing of ratings issues, so why did the CBC take off their schedule? Personally painful is that I now have to get my Grace Park via a remake of Hawaii Five O! First Intelligence and now The Border! I am guessing that there must be some corporate strategy where a hit show is developed and then cancelled before it's time?
I highly recommend watching all 3-seasons!
