I only have one complaint about this product and that the lid is the type you need to unscrew and remove. It works quite well but isn't practical for situations like driving. Zojirushi does make a similar product with a pop top drink lid which is perfect but not available for delivery in Canada though you can find it in some stores.

Still if you're looking for a small thermos this product is excellent.

The only actual problem with this mug is that it keeps liquids too hot, be careful what temperature you put liquids in because you can easily cause injury hours later. The lid is also confusing, and since the instructions for english readers are minimal, I still really don't know the why and how of the secondary lid function or maintenance, though I suspect it has to do solely with insulation and not consumption.

I bought this Zojirushi vacuum mug several months ago, and it has served me very well. The heat retention capability of the product is beyond that of any other that I've experienced. A hot beverage will remain hot for many hours. In fact, it sometimes works too well; caution should be taken when sipping from the mug as the beverage can be scalding even after several hours.

Employing the philosophy behind many Japanese products, Zojirushi has crafted a great mug with a very minimalistic design. The black version of the mug has a smooth, almost matte finish that looks sleek and stylish. The silver band around the lid of the mug complements the design very well.

The mug is incredibly easy to clean. The lid can be taken apart very easily. The three parts of the lid are very durable. The only cleaning "difficulty" that one may have is that the bottle is rather slim; thus, a brush of some sort might be needed for a thorough cleaning of any residues left overnight or longer in the mug.

The lip of the mug is comfortable. It is not abrasive, and the narrow opening ensures a fairly good drinking experience.

Perhaps the only downfall of the bottle with the black finish is that the coating can scratch off, revealing the silver metal underneath. Careful usage of the mug is necessary to maintain its beautiful aesthetic.

Overall, I recommend this bottle to anyone looking for a minimalistic, effective mug for storing hot beverages.

It's a good product. Keeps my coffee somewhat warm until the afternoon. Well designed and appears sturdy. Would recommend it but somewhat pricey.

Keeps beverages warm even in -30degC for a long time !!!! I'm glad I got it. The slim size makes it easy and convenient to carry around.

My first test of this mug went well. My coffee was almost as hot as it was when I poured it an hour prior to my road trip on a cold winter day. Two thumbs up!

I love it I use it every day and I get all kinds of complements, I recommend it to everyone.

I ordered two of these and absolutely love them! It's actually surprising how many hours it can keep a product hot or cold (I'd say about 4-6). I've used them for holding cold milk, hot tea, and hot water. Works great every time.

Some thoughts:
1) Definitely shouldn't be labeled a mug. I can't imagine sipping my coffee out of one of these. Think of this product as a thermos.
2) Can have some left over odors. For a few weeks I was drinking carnation breakfast essentials out of these, and each time it'd leave an odor. If you face a similar issue, try using baking soda and hot water.
