I am not an expert sewer but have used a machine on and off for many years. Have always liked Singer and liked the idea of being able to sew heavier materials easier. So far, I am happy with the performance.

One thing about a machine that doesn't have any problems, you take it for granted and give it a so-so review. However after having 2 tiny sewing machines break or not thread with the bobbin I can appreciate this reliability of this machine. I read the whole manual and now just by glancing at the decals and arrows on the sewing machine itself I can quickly set up and change settings without hesitation. I like that it opens up on the bottom so you can sew cuffs.

Not Impressive From Minute One,

Singer Heavy Duty 4411I opened the box, set up the machine and threaded the bobbin threader. It is dead. Right from the start. Whirrs but no movement. That is the problem I had with the machine I was replacing. Singer service told me this is NOT A NEW MACHINE! It was refurbished and the repair people did not even wipe away the excess oil slopped on the top of the machine. I just feel burnt and angry. If a machine is refurbished THEY NEED TO SAY SO!!! |
