Explosive Action & Epic Combat! A Must See!,
By
This review is from: Canaan - Complete Collection (DVD)
The setting of this anime series take place within Shanghai, China where 2 female characters engage each other in physical & firearm combat. One of the 2 female characters, Alphard, happens to be the leader of a terrorist group called (no spoilers) & the other, Canaan, is a well trained assassin whom possesses a superhuman ability called (no spoilers). The storyline consists of 2 different paths where one focuses on a biological terrorist weapon called the (no spoilers) & the other focuses on Canaan's desperate quest to fulfill revenge against Alphard for killing her mentor/teacher Siam. The plot continues to increase in tension when Maria, long time friend of Canaan, is targeted by Alphard as a tool of manipulation in an attempt to coercion Canaan to unleash her "true power". As the storyline progresses, the plot continues to amuse the viewer with extraordinary scenery & beautiful majestic urban life while throwing an all out gun fight between an assassin & a terrorist organization. With most of the dull moments filled with guns flashing, bullets flying, & bombs exploding it is to no surprise that the storyline & plot complement well with each other while mimicking a city war.The dialogue is well developed & well paced with few exceptions to the english dub. Voice acting is exceptional & greatly portrays the characters personalities, emotions, & development. Profanity, fan service, gun violence, blood & gore, & peril are not censored which makes this anime series a thriller. I recommend this anime series. Thank you. |
