Imagine Charles Dickens in Manchester, UK, alive and well and madly drunk, writing a brilliantly insightful and hilarious riposte to Coronation Street. Shameless is such a thing. It is a comedy full of lovably amoral villains and ne'er-do-wells in the finest Dickensian tradition. Shameless, is a poke in the eye to anyone who thinks being penniless is quaint. It's characters are as strange as visitors from another planet and resourceful in a way that would have won a wink of admiration from the Artful Dodger. Shameless is at once stranger than Coronation Street and strangely more real, more honest and far and away more hilarious. It's a gem. "Massive!"

This is a very funny show. It originated in England and is a hit there. This American spin is just as good, maybe better with the great group of Actors.

Great series, you can't help but get hooked. The most functional dysfunctional family you'll ever encounter. I'm ready to order season 2.

I happened to be on the same channel when one of these episodes started last week, and OMG I AM HOOKED!!!! I caught the PILOT episode, and then the season 2 1st episode! AND OMG Sooo much stuff happened between that I cant wait for them to air again, so I had to purchase the 1st season. I cant believe that I hadnt heard about this show & missed the whole season one!!!
This show is definitely not for the easily offended!! Honestly sometimes all you can say is "WOW" about things said/done in this show! Completely leaves you speechless!! LOL. Its HALARIOUS!!!!! Frank is the best character Ive ever seen in ANY show, EVER. I love it!!

This was the original 'Shameless' that first showed the world the joys, dysfunction, and loyalty behind what it means to be a family.

Excellent Series Do not Let Younger Kids Watch,,,William H Macy Totally Hillarious As "Frank".
Looking Forward To Season-2 On DVD.
Wife And I Totally Recommend This As "Adult" Entertainment.

Watched the 1st episode. Not impressed so far. I'll keep watching the rest and hopefully I will get into the story lines a bit better as we progress

i am not sure if it is a canadian show or not but it show how a family with no money and no parents can make it togetter if they love each other and belive in each other,
living in large city and a young women rasing teens and young teens and not working full time job and trying to have a life at the same time and trying to find love cant be easy,
especialy when the dad is a drunk and she know she cant trust him to help,
i watch that show on tv way before i did buy the first season and i see that they have made a second season and i like to buy it but AMAZON dont have it,

I love to order through Amazon, everything always comes when the say it will and it is always in perfect condition. I have ordered several items through Amazon and will continue to do so. The latest Item I ordered again came on time and was in excellent condition, I already watched it and it was perfect.

Usually we prefer the original version of a television series and especially enjoy the British sense of humour. In this case we were disappointed. The US version is funnier and the actors seem better suited to the roles.
