I ordered this because it has fairly good reviews. I have the Cuisinart grinder available from Amazon which works well too. The Bodum grinder works fine and is a typical spice/coffee grinder. Has no bells or whistles. I like the clear plastic top that allows you to see how well the coffee has ground so you don't over grind it. I'm looking for a coarse grind for french press which is hard to judge. My beef about this grinder is the small capacity cup for beans. At most you can put in about 1/4 cup of beans; maybe less in fact. The Cuisinart hold considerably more beans. Not sure how much I'll use the Bodum given it's small capacity.

Quiet, smooth and thorough. Can't ask much more from a blade-type coffee grinder. Feels much higher quality than my previous Cuisinart coffee grinder.
